mdeesnuts: The only thing worse than those pictures is the idea behind the contest./learned photography from wedding photographers//take 30 shots of every scene and find the best one///usually works
HotWingAgenda: In other news, England is now the entire world.
croesius: Waaaay back when, my family was taking a driving tour of all the major national parks and monuments and whatnot in America. Borrowed an RV, took the month off, and away we went. Every time we were at a scenic location and saw fellow tourists attempting to take a group picture, my father would volunteer to take it for them, so they would all be included in the picture. As the trip was winding down, he told me that every single time he took a picture for strangers, he would cut off their heads on purpose. Bear in mind this was before the days of digital photography, so the folks would never know until later on, when the film was developed. His justification was that they would never forget that photo. He's an odd sort.
Queensowntalia: I actually really like the seagull legs one. Something about it appeals to me.
factoryconnection: Y'all have no idea how closely that photo set resembles every roll that my dad used to shoot on vacations. So many backs of heads, flash wash-outs, off-angle shots, and everything out of focus.
Nogale: tinge of malice
Nexzus: [i.telegraph.co.uk image 393x536]This one invites the viewer to make up their own story of what happened. Was it a sudden wave? Did the person taking the photograph push the diver? Maybe a shark jumped out and caught them. A gripe is that they captured too much of the boat.[i.telegraph.co.uk image 850x531]Grandma in the middle of doing a shot of tequila is priceless.[i.telegraph.co.uk image 850x531]This one could have been framed a bit better, but it's still a decent shot. I think if they moved closer to the caution sign and went a bit wider, it would have been great.[i.telegraph.co.uk image 850x531]And really, what competent enthusiast even hasn't done this? Granted, it should have never left the memory card, but whatever.

Callous: mdeesnuts: The only thing worse than those pictures is the idea behind the contest./learned photography from wedding photographers//take 30 shots of every scene and find the best one///usually worksIn the days of film that was an expensive practice for amateurs.
