Except Supernatural is like "bros" and good, and this sounds like "douche-bros" and will probably be bad.

Supernatural is soooo tired.

Let's just have Sam and Dean make out and get it over with.

Of course, he was wrong. Very, very wrong. They definitely care.

Supernatural isn't a bro comedy anymore. Its a bro angst machine written by the worst kind of fan fiction types.

But there is a bro ghost show, Ghost Adventures more scripted than anything you'll see on the CW.

This year was better than the last two... and even last year's season of Supernatural was better than most other shows on TV.

/yes, the series should have ended with Sam going into the cage and Dean moving in with Ohio-girl

Just read that Supernatural was renewed for 2 more seasons. And also that the CW network president has the perfect name for a Jewish pedophile: Mark Pedowitz.

A lot les Supernatural hate in here than I was expecting.  Some, but not as much as i figured.

I stopped watching it years ago, but I don't hate it. The first 6(?) seasons were great, and as mentioned above it should've ended with the Apocalypse season. The following seasons may/may not be any good, I just don't have an interest. I got all I needed out of the show.

/this new show sounds pretty stupid

Supernatural is a comedy? I mean sure, they have their moments, but it's not really a comedy show.

The entire leviathan season felt pointless and aimless. But this past season was decent, what with all the angels proving to be just as big of dicks as demons.

Yep. This season was a demonstration of the principle that there are some folks to whom free will or power should not be given.

I'm not a big fan of the leviathan season either, but it did give us Garth and Charlie so it's not a total loss.

Supernatural was never a bro comedy to begin with. It was and is a horror drama with the occasional comedic elements. But it was first and foremost a horror show. If you have netflix, check out episodes "The Pilot",  "Everybody loves a clown," "Family Remains" and "Bloody Mary" for start. Seriously, if the opening of "Everybody loves a clown" doesn't creep you out then you have nerves of steel.

I think Supernatural is a show I enjoy more when I marathon it.  I marathonned the first seven seasons and I love season seven.  I do not get the hate for the Leviathan storyline at all.  But I didn't have to watch it play out week by week.

Season eight and nine I've watched in real time and it's just not as fun.  When we got to the end of season nine I realised I would have enjoyed it more not having to wait 30-something weeks for the pay off.

The question for season ten is, is Sam going to die curing a demon like he didn't at the end of season eight, or are going to end up in the post-Croatoan world.  They made Cas human, after all.  Lucifer!Sam did say no matter what details got changed, they always end up there.

/Maybe it will be both
//Everyone dies!  Again!

I marathoned all the episodes.  Leviathan season just seemed like it didn't know what to do.  Outside of a certain character death and ghostly appearance, there really wasn't anything that happened of any consequence.

The only reason it would have killed him was because of the trials.  Remember, the one priest cured the demon, but he didn't die.  He was there to comfort the former demon that he was saved.  The curing itself doesn't kill him, it's the awesome force necessary to seal Hell that would have done him in.

I think the end of season 9 was a good twist.  Look forward to seeing Dean howling at the moon.

I kinda did an "oh Shiat!" at the end of season 9. I'm also looking forward to how the situation goes with Dean in his current position. I was kinda surprised with how the big bad from season 9 was dealt with and that it was dealt with almost casually.

The one thing I wish they'd stop doing already is having Sam and Dean go through the same don't trust each other and split up for a bit thing. They've done that with every single goddamn season at least once. Granted with the events of the season 9 finale that's kinda hard to do, but at least this time there'll be a better reason than the stuff before.

There was potential for some seriously creepy stuff and all we got were some upgraded shapeshifters.

Wait what? The big bad from season 9 last I checked was Metatron and his forces. I was talking about the way he was dealt with and the it was just kinda ho hum oh yeah, Cas happened to have left that thing on. I wasn't talking about what's been happening with Dean and the the First blade and the mark and how they dealt with Abadon. IMO Abadon was kind of a secondary villain for the season.

I consider everything since as a sequel. Same characters and a continuation but with the lowered expectations of a sequel of a  movie that was compete as told. At least they are not afraid to close out a storyline and move on unlike some shows that edge up to but never resolve anything.

Agreed.  That shiat drives me nuts.  It seems that after a while, these morons will figure out that they are on each other's side.  Literally to hell and back.  It just screams of lazy writing.

He had the expanse of all creation to figure out a plan, and it was working.  The guy knew how to "tell a story" that would compel people in the places he wanted.  He didn't count on a couple things, like  Gadreel actually having aconscience and a sense of honor, or Cas being nearly as savvy as he turned out to be.  Ironically, Metatron giving him the pop culture knowledge probably helped.  He could see the "story" being written and figured out how to turn it on him.

Speaking of that little retcon (I loved that they called themselves on it), I thought a lot of the fun of Cas would be lost with him knowing more about the world and pop culture.  I know it was low-brow, but I loved that he would so easily misinterpret simple references.  But I'm glad to see that he has the knowledge, but not all the context and often misses the point or brings up references in
inappropriate times.

I just can't help giggling every time.

Cas is easily my favorite character from the show for all the humor he brings with his unintended inappropriateness.

/If the pizza man truly loves this baby sitter, why does he keep slapping her rear?
//Croatoan future Cas where he has no powers and gets stoned, drunk and has orgies would be awesome
