I was going to taunt subby for bad headline writing but that's exactly what the article says.

2014-06-11 07:24:29 AM
She's not only merely dead, she's really most sincerely dead.

2014-06-11 07:26:18 AM
Clearly it's all the rehab facility at fault and her own actions had nothing to do with her death.

/and who hit her with the ugly stick? She used to be pretty.

2014-06-11 07:26:50 AM
Do you think her ghost haunts the bullet riddled bordello where her body was found?

.34 BAC? Pfffffft, lightweight.

Personal responsibility, how does it work?

That's the first thing that came to mind.

Well, personal responsibility helps but when you put yourself into the care of people who claim to be medical professionals then they have some responsibility to make sure you stay alive.  I worked for several years in a rehab and you had to make sure every client was breathing at least once an hour.  Even in the middle of the night she should have been checked on at least that often.
So, yes, not finding a dead client for at least 7 hours means the facility was negligant.
Also, not sure how coroner can say she died of an overdose if they don't know what she overdosed on.  Often people in their first few days of rehab are given medication to soften withdrawl symptoms and assist with detox.  This is another reason why they are kept under such scrutiny because some of these medications can cause you to pass out, stop breathing, fall down, or go into a coma.

The doctors did all they could for her, but she just kept getting deader.

"She died 3 days before being admitted ..." That article is making me feel woozy

If she had known drinking bleach and injecting meth in her eyballs was bad for you.....I think the husband should win this. They should never had admitted a dead lady. False hopes

If you held rehab centers financially liable every time one of their patients used and then something bad happened, there wouldn't be any of them left in business.  It is just an unrealistic expectation.  Hell, even in a tightly controlled environment like a prison, inmates still find ways to get drunk and high.

2014-06-11 08:25:38 AM

The troubled actress was said to have been not taking any withdrawal drugs at the time death, according to the rehab facility where she was staying.

*facepalm*

I didn't know she was dead. Or is dead. Or was dead, then alive, then even more dead.

Really. I was hospitalized once with a .5. Nothing to be proud of, the withdrawals were a biatch.

I thought that at first, too, but then I realized it's possible she was blowing through all her money on booze and drugs and he was trying to get control of that. I not saying I believe that, but it very well might explain that fight.

The only things I know of that you can die from the withdrawal are alcohol and benzo's.

Are there more?

My guess is she died from the alcohol withdrawal.

Bslim: .34 BAC? Pfffffft, lightweight.

So, they think she had been dead 6-7 hours before they found her?  Add a few points to that.

Depending on what else she had on board, it just sounds like her body went "fark this shiat" and checked out.

Alcohol, benzos, and some opiates.  See this article for further information.

I always thought heroin was the one where you feel like you're gonna die, but you just can't.  It doesn't happen.  Reads article.  OK, so it seems methadone would be one you could die from, but that seems like a "special" case.  And what is the definition of "rapid detox" from heroin?

I REALLY dislike the nightmares you get from alcohol withdrawal, once you actually get to sleep.

Being seen alive before your death isn't so bad.  But you have got to watch out for the ones that you see alive after their death.

Rapid detox is a method, that is not without controversy, to get you over the worst of it in a few days as opposed to a slow detox.

THIS

I did a stint in rehab to make my DUI sentence a bit easier. it was a pain in the butt having them wake you up all the time, but I understood it for a ton of the people in there.

The mods greenlighted this headline days before it was submitted as a repeat.

/ that might actually become true yet

That is a serious sad situation.

2014-06-11 10:21:09 AM
Have we verified that she was seen alive before her death? This is very important. Also, although I'm not sure how alcohol metabolizes after death, .34% after being dead for days sounds fairly impressive.

2014-06-11 10:28:29 AM
The 43-year-old actress died in her sleep a few days before she was admitted to hospital with a blood/alcohol reading of .34 (almost fatal).

"Almost" fatal? It killed her in the past, she had THAT MUCH alcohol in her system...

And while we're bashing DailyMail for being one of the biggest piles of suck on the Internet when it comes to news, who in the blue FARK keeps reading this shiatstorm, and thereby submitting links to this useless website?

Subby should be ashamed for hanging out on DailyMail in the first place.

Just for the record, if your ass was hurting, those weren't the people who were SUPPOSED to be waking you up.
