At home he hoarded hundreds of bottles of Tabasco sauce, danced alone until 4am, made his family book appointments to see him and constructed elaborate disguises whenever he went out.

Wait, is that considered weird now? Because if hoarding Tabasco bottles, dancing alone at crazy hours, keeping my family at arms length and going out in disguise is wrong, I don't wanna be right.

Crazy stuff. No matter what MJ did, his kids should just be left the fark alone.

Hundreds of bottles of tabasco sauce?  Big deal.  Look at all the jars of urine uber-recluse Howard Hughes hoarded during his final days.

Rich people are crazy.

That just sounds really sad.

I loooved listening to his music growing up so when I heard about the child abuse stuff I immediately thought, no freaking way. Hell, I didn't know the man. But if he was put through the shiat he was and he wasn't guilty, then fark those people wanting a payday. If he did do it, then I hope there is a hell for people like that.

Either way, those poor kids. He obviously wanted his family kept away from the kids and then now that's all they have.

Still, probably an easier life than being in prison for child molestation.

No, I'm pretty sure everyone is crazy. Rich people can just act out on their crazy much more easily.

Common people are crazy. Rich people are 'eccentric'.
Sad to see that someone with a farked up childhood which damaged him for life, was inflicting the same on his children.

I really want to believe everything in TFA, part of me even does. Then again I really wanted to believe Lance didn't dope to win his tours. However I have more faith in Jackson now, than I did in Lance while he was still racing. I guess we'll never know.

claim he had secret affairs with two women - including "making out" with one in the back of a limousine.

Woo hoo, making out! Michael Jackson did not fark the kids! He "made out" with a lady one time!

Bill tried to keep in touch with the children after they moved in with Michael's family but it's a year since he has spoken on the phone to Paris.
"I miss them," he says.
"I didn't want to push the contact but now I'm hoping the book will encourage them to reach out to us."

Yuck. Seriously do they know anyone else? It sounds like not. Maybe they should hang around with the bodyguards as their new family.

I remember leaving work for the day, starting my car, and the local radio guy broke in with the story that "...the 80s are officially dead.  Michael Jackson passed away..." and I felt like the wind was knocked out of me.  I know it's odd, but damn, I can remember the Jackson 5 in my youth and how Michael Jackson dominated the 80s.

"His happiest time was when he was with his kids."

No f*cking sh*t. Also:

"They said they were his friends but in the two-and-a-half years I was with him, I'd never heard from these people."

So you were with him after all the kid raping, but you insist he wasn't a kid raper?

It is sad.

When MJ died, I had to wonder, why did all those people around him allow him to veer so far off into looney-land?  And it goes way, way back.  When Jackson took Emmanuel Lewis to the Grammys back in the 80's, someone should have stepped in and said "Nooope!  If you want attention, take a porn star or something.  I don't care if you like that sort of thing or not.  Taking Webster is creepy and weird."  But the money was rolling in and nobody seemed to care.  And it just got worse and worse, as we all know.

The guy basically never had a life of his own.  It's no wonder he didn't properly understand sexual boundaries.  Hell, what he didn't "get" about life could probably fill an encyclopedia.

Yes, MJ jokes are funny, and yes, he most likely crossed several lines when dealing with children, but in the end, he was just completely, utterly lost.

I believe in the end all he really wanted was to be a good dad and have a nice, normal family. Unfortunately he had absolutely no clue what that was supposed to look like, so he failed spectacularly.

I'd say that's a pretty fair assessment.  Dude was famous and in the public eye since he was a kid, his public image was what his life was all about, plus having a crappy father along with the countless surgeries / ocean of prescription drugs, etc...dude was one bizarre case study.  However, as someone said earlier, I still think he brought a lot of this onto himself.

I kinda feel sorry for the kids being sheltered as they were.  It's as if they were living the extreme exact opposite of his childhood.  I hope they adapted to having a more social life now.

That's pretty much how most farked-up people go. How would they know to do otherwise? You learn what you live.

I'm not even convinced that he was having sex with kids. He was just a mess all around, maybe asexual. He wanted to be a kid, not a grown man.

Bareefer Obonghit: "His happiest time was when he was with his kids."

No f*cking sh*t. Also:

"They said they were his friends but in the two-and-a-half years I was with him, I'd never heard from these people."

So you were with him after all the kid raping, but you insist he wasn't a kid raper?

The only "evidence" that he was was trumped up by a father out for a huge blackmail payoff who convinced his son to lie.

Think about it: there are only two possibilities (a true dichotomy). One or the other must be true, and they cannot both be true. Yet, both possibilities make the dad out to be scum. Either:

• He honestly believed that Michael Jackson had molested his son, or
• He did not honestly believe that Michael Jackson had molested his son.

The second choice makes Daddy a framing and blackmailing crook, wrecking the reputation, career, and life of one of the most famous and talented people of our time all for money, even though he did not believe that MJ had harmed his son..

But the first choice is even worse for Daddy. It would mean that he basically sold his own son's virtue to MJ for money. He basically pimped his own son!. As if that wasn't bad enough, by accepting the payoff and not continuing to press criminal charges, in this second scenario where the dad did honestly believe that MJ did it, the man knowingly put other children at continued risk! Every child MK molested from then on would be on his hands!

So, which is it?

Had it been your son, and you honestly believed that MJ did it, how much money would it take for you to not press charges and withdraw all complaints? I know what my own answer would be to that question: more than the National Debts of every nation that has ever existed or ever will exist, for every day, all added up and combined, wouldn't come even close to sufficing. I would hope that the same applies to you.

The very fact that the dad accepted the payoff and withdrew charges strongly implies that he did not believe that MJ did it, and was just after the money. Because the alternative makes him out to be an absolute monster of a father.

Moreover, MJ's behavior is simply not consistent with actual pedophilia. While laypeople often confuse such, his behavior is far more consistent with an asexual afflicted with Peter Pan Syndrome (which he most definitely had, in ♠♠♠♠♠! He's the textbook case! I mean, come on! Neverland Ranch!? Duh!!). His being an asexual is a likely result of how he was raised, and especially if, as as been suspected, his own father had taken measures to delay his puberty, to keep his golden child's voice for as long as possible.
