Also that vid was taken like 5 feet from me, I think that's my beer in frame, I'm the only one celebrating that song properly, by not spilling my farking beer.

Also also, Albarn was kind of a dick, kept throwing water into the crowd and exhorting us to dance harder, and then the farker would sit at his little miniature pianola on stage and play sad sack songs for like 80% of the concert.

/thinks the new album/albarn is shiat.

I always thought it was "Song #2". That would seem more appropriate.

I've always thought of it as the Starship Troopers song.

That's one of my favorite trailers, I remember being really disappointed that the song wasn't nearly as prominent in the film.

I'd also drop "The Good, The Bad, and the Queen" in there but if you know that, you probably already have a couple of Graham Coxon's solo joints and a bunch of Blur B-sides.

which is a shame, because blur had some really good songs...i have the 2 cd best-of set from about 10 - 12 years ago...nothing on there i don't like, and pretty much nothing else from them sounds like song 2

i saw albarn on a recent "guitar center sessions", and while he didn't seem like a total dick, he seemed much different (in a way i can't think how to describe) than most of artists that get interviewed on such a show.

also, his new solo stuff is ok, but too low key. i love blur, i like a lot of gorillaz music, and his new solo stuff isn't like either.

It's funny you say that, up until the day of the show, tickets were on sale at stubhub and ticketsnow for $20, exactly half of the face value, I thought the show was going to be empty, but I guess Boston's pro scalpers managed to fill the Royale, in much the same fashion that they kept Fenway's "sell-out" streak going for so long.

I enjoy the hell out of a lot of Graham Coxon's solo stuff, especially 'Happiness in Magazines.'
