Before I decide how I feel about this, I need Fox to tell me the father of any of those soldiers had a Taliban beard.

Well Subby, sometimes you don't get exactly what you want.

It's really the thought that counts.

Not to start any rumors or anything, a little bird told me that it wasn't a friendly fire incident, but the little bird didn't go into any details.
Lt. Col. Christopher Belcher, a U.S. military spokesman in Kabul, said he could not release details about the deaths. A statement on the incident issued Tuesday morning by the U.S.-led military coalition said: "The casualties occurred during a security operation when their unit came into contact with enemy forces. Tragically, there is the possibility that fratricide may have been involved."

They were reporting on the BBC this morning that it was a case of an Afghan solider turning on them and killing them in an ambush.  Now we're at a air strike mistake?

You jest, but if even one of those guys was caught in this, let alone all five, hell even I would get suspicious at that point.

Were any of the soldiers involved homosexuals? That's important.

Why is it that we can't leave this quagmire that was FUBAR in 2001 today?  Oh, that's right, the US congressional elections don't happen until November.

Congressmen need cover too!

Carry on.

It could be the Taliban airforce.

That was my initial thought too. "Somebody's gonna say that Obama is eliminating soldiers who would speak out against Bergdahl" like they were saying about SEAL Team 6 after bin Laden. Best to bring it up and mock the conservitards before they can get started.

Now we know where MA370 ended up.  It was stolen and turned into a Taliban bomber.

Considering the recent Las Vegas shooting -
CCW, no CCW, female civilian shot & killed, no male, CCW again, etc...

Short of rough body count I don't trust 'breaking news' anymore.

What's an "involved homosexual?"

I agree it sounds important, but I'd like more information. Uh, for a friend.

/its either green on blue like previously stated, or someone can't read their farking grid
//hoping its the former, wouldn't wish that kind of guilt on any US service member

An "involved homosexual" is someone who actively participates in the homosexual lifestyle, as a choice of course.

"Close air support and friendly fire should be easier to tell apart."

I thought this was only a problem with drones? Isn't a pilot in the cockpit supposed to prevent this?

Them, combat air controllers, etc...

Also, 'close air support' from an A-10 is different than a F-15/16 than a B-52.

I thought it was pretty well-known that American pilots are usually too high on drugs to bother confirming their targets.
