(Boing Boing)   Game designers step up to challenge of building compelling games using just 32X32 pixel fields. You can now argue about lag and how much better these would play on a gaming PC rather than a console   ( ) divider line

32x32 pixels? That's not so bad. I used to bull's-eye womp rats in my T-16 back home. They're not much bigger than 32x32 pixels.

Nix Nightbird: The mouse is a crappy way to control a game

You mean the smooth, controlled, sweeping motion that can be modified by the width of a pixel with the intuition of writing is subpar to the herky jerky, only made slightly smooth through the usage of aim-assist algorithms, all the while reminding one of the same old dick waggling joystick nonsense of 40 years ago? Hmm.

People finish Skyrim?

I was never able to.  Last playthrough I eventually decided that my goal of filling my entire house full of cheese wheels was unrealistic and had never even talked to the old dudes on the mountain.

Nix Nightbird: The mouse is a crappy way to control a game, and I say this as someone who has been gaming on everything-- PC included-- since PCs were invented. I say this as someone who built my own gaming rig.

Using a mouse to play a game means you're hunched over a desk with your face a few inches from a monitor. Using a game controller for PC games means you're able to recline on your couch and enjoy the big TV... yes, you can use your PC on the big TV with a mouse, but it's a real pain in the ass to use a mouse on a sofa without having to hunch over a table. Try using mouse & keyboard while reclining, with your feet up.

The only people who obsess about mouse & keyboard anymore are obsessive twitch FPS gamers who think circle-strafing is vitally important and who think winning a round of COD is some kind of grand honor... And frankly, most FPS games suck these days.

If you can't figure out how to comfortably get a mouse in your hand while relaxing on a couch then I fully agree:  You should stick to consoles.
