I like Italian chianti. 100% Sangiovese if I can find it, thought it's getting more difficult lately

Will it also make you blow chunk all of the time?

dittybopper: Will it also make you blow chunk all of the time?

It gives me massive headaches before I can even get close to the vomiting stage.

HOMER:  Oh. And how is 'education' supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home wine-making course and I forgot how to drive?

MARGE:  That's because you were drunk!

HOMER:  And how.

I've got to think a scientist that is able to get a grant for drinking red wine must be a very good salesman. But a scientist that is able to get a grant for drinking beer must be one of the greatest salesmen to ever walk the Earth.

Love a good Pinot Noir.

Used to drink alot of red wine (I've cut waaaay back on that particular activity).  I'm OK while drinking it, but the hangovers are definitely getting worse.

What about cherry wine? We don't have to take our clothes off. To have a good time.

$2.99 Chuck Cabernet Sauvignon at Trader Joe's. It's not too bad when you open it early and pour it in the glass early.

Or we go for the big Tub O' Livingston Burgundy. Or Costco box wine.

I just enjoy opening a regular bottle of wine once in a while.

I love how the song is about drinking wine, but in the UB40 video the singer is drinking beer.

ChrisDe: It go to my head.

Well that song is going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the day....

And I'm with some of the other farkers in this thread, a glass or two and I'm fine but but I'll have to switch to something my system processes better if the night is to continue.

I love chianti myself, but just sticking to 100% Sangiovese is missing out on the skill and craft of those that blend the sangiovese with other grapes.

If you are going to do a 100% Sangiovese, go with Brunello di Montalcino. If thats too rich for your blood to be a go-to wine, look for Rosso di Montalcino, which can often be as good as the full-scale Brunellos in some years.

A really good Burgundy is about the best wine ever. Too bad their so damn expensive. I really like Dolcetto, too.

/beer is still better, 75% of the time

I wonder if Niel Diamond ever though he'd be a source of so much geek culture.

I think the missing element is how much? Because I'm pretty sure if you drink enough, red wine will still help you forget. And I always assumed the song was about getting completely sloshed.

All these alcohol studies have that same element - "X alcoholic drink is actually good for you (as long as you don't drink more than a little)!"
