I read an article about the (then-proposed) buy-out.
Pre-packaged-processed meat and Walmart were the 2 things I remember.

I forget how it went exactly, but the first headline I saw after this sale was something along the lines of "Due to the price of this sale Tyson will have no choice but to make Hillshire Farms so crappy that no one will eat it"

Not even hyperbolic. The investors are already calling to gut the company, and I'm pretty sure Hillshire Farms can't get any crappier without losing major market share.
