Don't Troll Me Bro!: drxym: You have to wonder why Pakistan can't stamp some form of authority on these nutbars. Not a week goes by without some act of savagery being committed in that country.

You say that as if acts of savagery

don't happen here all the time.

When it happens overseas, it's an act of terrorism. When it happens on US soil, it's someone exercising his or her Second Amendment right.

FullMetalPanda: AbiNormal: "a message to the Pakistan government that we are still alive to react over the killings of innocent people in bomb attacks on their villages".

So they kill innocent people because innocent people were killed? Is this some new form of logic? Or perhaps mental illness?

I think you have to look at an old Arabic proverb....

Me against my brothers, me and my brothers against my cousins, me and my cousins against the world
Arabic translation: أنا وأخوي على ابن عمي وأنا وابن عمي على الغريب

I couldn't find more succinct way of defining backward, simple-minded tribal mentality based on in-groups if I tried

This is an understandable mix up when you don't know the difference between terrorism and mass murder, lets use Sandy Hook for example since we are trolling with the gun theme. Who am I kidding you don't even know there IS a difference let alone what it is, and I sure as shiat you don't know what the difference between the Pakistan Taliban, Afghan Taliban, Haqqani Network, and Al-Qaeda is let alone how those groups differ regarding terrorism and a mass murder like Sandy Hook. I would be farking shocked if you could tell me who US SECDEF is, let alone an intelligent comment pertaining to the aforementioned terrorist groups, without Google. Alas, there is no way of proving you did or did not Google the answer, I just wanted to express how much of an imbecilic I think you are.

That would explain more than a few things.  That corner of the world is a hot mess.  I forget who was referring to the FATA as "Binladinstan", but it was pretty clever.

Great reference, subby.

/Screw Ward Churchill.

I thought it was a Jeremiah Wright reference.

It might be.  Wright quoted a lot of loonies, or he might have used the term independently.  But I was referring to this bit:

On the Justice of Roosting Chickens: Reflections on the Consequences of U.S. Imperial Arrogance and Criminality (goes to Wikipedia).

It's hard to take anyone who posts a link to that article as anything other than a nutcase.

Because he's saying the same thing you're saying, but he's old and unhip and therefore shouldn't be embarrassing you by saying it, amirite?

Turn a blind eye to people using your country as cover to commit crimes long enough because you don't like their victims and sooner or later you'll discover yourself their next target. By the time that happens they have honed their skills and you've got a problem on your hands. The amazing thing is that people who condoned some terrorism are surprised that those same people commit terrorism against someone not on their personal okay to terrorize list.

Come on, Beeb.  You're supposed to be better than that.

Maybe he's predicting the outcome of attempts to defuse the explosive devices.

It seems the Taliban have been emboldened by Obama's willingness to negotiate with terrorists.
