Even older and busted-er... Holley Mangold, sister of Nick Mangold, played offensive line in high school and was an Olympic weightlifter

A 5'6", 140 lb DB who freely admits  she has difficulty tackling. Yeah... that'll work out well

It's an NAIA school, the level of competition is below some top tier high schools.

She was also like 350 lb, which is a huge advantage at HS football level.

I got a feeling this will end as well as that woman who "tried out" for kicker last year.

Why does she want to play football?   Wouldn't she be happy in Home Ec?

Even there the first time she gets blasted she will quit, there is a humongous gap between HS and any college level. Players are bigger, faster, and stronger that will destroy her on blocks alone.

I seen some female rugby players that would prove you wrong, yes men are Stronger, faster and would probably destroy her - but let her find out for herself, it would be cool to see her get back up and take more hits.
Who knows, maybe she's a waterboy in disguise.

I hope she is wildly successful. If she can shut them down at the line she might just do it!

Not a chance, women are weak and brittle. She will be cleaning uniforms and making buffet platters before mid-season, I hope she succeeds.

It only takes novice coach to figure out that you just run plays with a that double up blocks on other players.  Leave her unblocked so she has to make a play and you get an edge.  Now do that every time she is on the field.

I won the super bowl on madden football medium difficulty so I know what i'm talking about.

I've seen some of those and a couple swore they could play with the guys who came out there, so we allowed one to come out and by her second hit she was hurting. This was with us taking it easy on her but these guys were rough, one of our guys broke his collar bone and kept playing. I still don't see how he did it, I broke a kids collar bone once in high school, I've never seen such a huge kid cry like a baby. I felt bad afterwards even though he said it wasn't only my fault.

Rugby was still rougher than any football game and the players don't seem like such pussies, no I could never play now, too many old man injuries to keep up.

Most of the DB's showing on the Campbellsville roster are around 5' 11"/180-190...though this kid

www.campbellsvilletigers.com

lists at 5' 7"/118...wtf?...so she's got some size issues, no matter her plumbing, but it's not like she's trying to walk-on at ND or 'Bama.

/and you would let her tackle you.

Jesus - why is she a DB?  If she wants to play, why wasn't she put in a position she's suited for?  Just like the boys.  If a HS coach had a 5'6" 140 lb boy, he wouldn't put him in as a DB.  He'd try to make him a RB, CB or other fast position.  Did she start at DB in Pop Warner or something?  Why the hell didn't the coaches earlier in her playing time train her for something that would suit her eventual size?

I know.  And I was wrong anyway because I was aiming for Tailback which is also a running back.  In short, I'm an idiot.

Not only is she the wrong gender, but she's the wrong color.  As a general rule, white people aren't quick enough to play DB.

If I were an opposing OC and she was playing DB, there would be a lot of bubble screens.

Go be fat somewhere else.

I'm shocked that no one mentioned how Campbellsville is a Baptist university and this would be a very progressive move for them regarding traditional gender roles.

How many times do we have to have this tired old argument?
It's a scientific fact that women are not intelligent enough to play football.
