I enjoy this version of Baby's Got Back done by Sir Mix a Lot in the back seat of a Honda civic.

Awesome, but the Symphony hardly factored in.  I'd love to see the JoCo version with symphonic backing.

I'm pretty sure this caused Beethoven, Mozart, Bach and Brahms to spin in their graves with enough force that most of Europe is getting a massive power surge right about now.

I'm not overly family with Sir Mix-a-Lot other then "Baby got Back" and his work on every VH1's "I love the..." series, but he's an MC so that other guy is probably his DJ

Sonic Devolution would have been a more accurate title. It's sad they have to do this to sustain the orchestra.

More talent in his left nut than a dozen Kanye's and Jay-Z's.  And a nicer guy to boot.

Ok I started watching thinking I wouldn't like it,  I was wrong that would of been pretty cool to see live.

Popular music in general isn't my cup of tea either, but most musicians are really in to music, not just the narrow range of music that they happen to perform. is probably one of the most iconic pieces of English-language music from the last 25 years (yes, really). I'll bet the performers really got a kick out of doing it.

I don't think the irony that the most familiar rap in the history of the genre is about proper booty size should be lost on anyone, even an audience in a concert hall.

Pretty much this - publicity stunt to raise awareness for the symphony and a slight media bump for Mix-A-Lot. Add in a bunch of middle-aged housewives trying to re-live their glory days and it's just awful.

/ Lighten up Francis, etc.

It's nice that he still has a sense of showmanship after 20 years of being known for nothing but that song.

It's too bad they can't show his encore, "Put 'Em On The Glass."
