The band are Appetite For Democracy 3D: Live from the Hard Rock Casino - Las Vegas

Oh fark you. If Slash isn't there it's not GnR. Your're a Vegas lounge act.

The album will be called "Ukraine Democracy" and both will take as long to make an appearance.

Izzy was the main songwriter. From what I gather, Duff may be back in the fold & Izzy plays occasionally with Axl.

A lineup with Axl, Duff & Izzy is at least worth considering if Axl shows up on time.

Dear David Bowie,

Please put Slash, Izzy, Duff and Matt Sorum together and record an album.

Thing is "may be" and "occasionally" dont quite cut it.  Until then it's just "Axl Rose and the GNR expirence."  I may be alone in the feeling but even with the original line up it just may be too little too late.

Velvet Revolver was more GnR than The Axl Rose Project,

Because it bears repeating: Guns n Roses broke up in 1992. I don't care what Axl's lawyer says.

Ok I'll be the one to say it... Chinese Democracy is a good album.

not Use Your Illusions I or II good but passable.

That's like staying Styx "Killroy Was Here" is a good album.

It wasn't St. Anger bad, but it was a Death Magnetic passable.

He had a stroke? Damn. I had no idea.

But I do remember sharing Izzy's opinion on replacing Adler with Sorum, who was pretty much a metal drummer. "Where's the groove? Where's the farking groove?!?"

Yeah if you're the only member its a solo act not the band, all the good members are gone

This.  I don't care what the name is...if Slash isn't in the band, it's not the real GnR.

Dude! I've advocated for Adler in multiple threads, but even more so right now. I've been listening to their live album in the car for the last week and I swear Adler reminds me of Mitch Mitchell--just insanely awesome (if gratuitous) with the fills and always crafting the perfect part to complement the song and the other instruments. Dude has caught a lot of shot from the fans; but I think history will be kind to him. As Bob Forest pointed out on an episode of Celebrity Rehab, GNR was the greatest rock band in the world with Steven. Without him, they were just another band.

Yeah but he's back to an extent, he can drum almost as good but he does have trouble speaking coherently last time I heard an interview with him.

I took my wife, who hates GNR to see them two years ago.  She was actually quite impressed by whole band.  She did say that Bumblefoot's copious amount of chest hair coming out of the top of his shirt was gross looking.

I've been a GNR fan since Appetite For Destruction was released, but Bumblefoot is a better guitarist than Slash.

Saw Sorum with The Cult back in '90, and he was very good.

This. He's also quite the character, from the few interviews I've seen.

Yup, Steve Adler was on 'Celebrity Rehab' and talks like Jimmy from 'South Park' nowadays. You'd think a cocaine-induced stroke would be reason enough to quit. That and talking like a Down Syndrome patient with half a tongue.
