They seem to grow along the roads here. Shouldn't be an issue to get some. My wife is from the south and she says they would pick it an suck the nectar out as kids.

That's not an ingredient, it's an imperative statement.

it grew all over the place in PA when I was a kid.  right across the road from my house grew a veritable smorgasbord of nature's goodness, honeysuckle, wineberries, blackberries, black & red raspberries.

Crap that grows outside that you ate as a kid will now impress your hipster foodie friends.

Next up on the list, making organic wedding rings out of lightning bugs.

I love her .

When I first saw the headline all I could think was how hard it would be to get that tiny little drop of nectar out of each flower. Rtfa and felt stupid.

I have huge hedges of this stuff at my house. Can't wait to try it.

My wife and did that as well, and sometimes still do, we might try the recipe just something to do.  The wife is a bit of foodie, but I just think this could be fun.

Oh yeah? Well when I was a kid growing up in Hawaii, we used to suck on the suckles, right off the bush. We did it long before it was cool.

I am intrigued by this idea. Not sure if that makes me a pretentious foodie or a drunk.
