Someone needs to develop a perfume that smells like marijuana, but isn't. Think of the things you could get the police to rip apart with something like that.

"Officer, that pig feces/entrail waste hauler smells like marijuana! You should check it out. Thoroughly... Think of the children!..."

The smell of marijuana is pretty farking worthless as evidence of any crime. Or maybe I've been in Hawaii too long. Seriously, I can walk down any street nearby and smell it somewhere. I smell it at the beach (often from quite far away, as the wind carries that smell for a long ways - I've smelled it from a boat offshore from people smoking onshore). I smell it everywhere.

How does anyone know that it didn't originate from some other source? How can he be SURE that it's marijuana?

The whole thing is BS. Everyone knows it's BS. Hell, ALL the damn drugs should be legal just because the BS around their illegality - sending people to jail, destroying property, outright theft, not to mention the goddamned cartels - is way worse than the consequences of drugs being legal and available.

As for this guy, I don't care how much of a douche he is, cause the cops sure topped him.

TommyymmoT: First, it was not a pickup.
Second, they didn't just trash a truck, they trashed his business because he uses it as a mobile platform to demonstrate the variety of air horns he sells for a living, and they trashed his demos.

I got as far as We deliver the loudest train horn kits you can buy and then.....

Don't. Just farking don't

That used to be an issue in the town i grew up in. The cops were accused of pulling over folks with Broward or Dade County plates based on the fact they thought thats where all the drugs were coming from. Having those plates and being profiled isnt much different than having this guys douchebag truck and getting profiled for it.

I work with a guy here in Sweden, as blonde as most of you think all Swedes are. He's a big Juicy J fan. I often chide him for being the whitest guy ever to have attended a Juicy concert, but after reading this I can no longer say that with any integrity.

ongbok: They arrested the truck.

But seriously they do this crap a lot. I know a few people who have had their cars towed, impounded and search because it was suspicious. They ended up having to pay impound fees to get their cars back to find them stripped of stereo equipment and any of value they had in it stolen.

This kind of thing not only infuriates me, it really stuns me.  I don't have a reality setting where the police are the bad guys.

My husband, as a Chief in the FD, has stricter rules on his conduct than it seems many LEOs in other states do.  It's just shocking.  People should be able to trust, without question, those who commit to protect and serve.  And this sort of theft should be not just actionable, but a demanded actionable offense.  No way to get out of it, no excuses.

Most of us expect that when we call 911, the people who show up will be compassionate, competent, honest, sober, and hardworking.  Any deviation from that is just ...appalling.  Absolutely appalling.

gibbon1: TommyymmoT: I once considered putting one of those horns INSIDE my house as part of an alarm system.

Surely god would punish you by having it go off suddenly when you were on the crapper.

It would create an atrium in my bathroom.
Have you ever been near a fire truck when they blew the 'big horn'?

I can barely imagine what it would be like indoors.
Extensive hearing protection would be required just to work on the thing.

That guy?  That truck?  Those horns?  Juicy J?  Abuse of police power?  I just don't know whom to side with here.  Let's just nuke 'em all from orbit.

As long as there are dogs to be shot, the police will have plenty of work.
