Ma'am here is my boarding pass.  I checked two bags through Milwaukee.  What do you mean you can't find them?

Must have been some really tiny people in order that they could be stuffed into suitcases. And, remember, they can't be heavier than 50-lbs. or else you get charged extra.

He says it doesn't appear that the victims were killed at the location where the suitcases were found.

Well duh. If they were found in the place they were killed they wouldn't have needed luggage.

I was assuming Subby was making a Fargo joke, but that makes even less sense since Fargo is 500 miles from Wisconsin, and a Wisconsin accent is nothing like a ND accent.

Couldn't agree more... People think we all talk like da yoopers here... I'd be more worried about breeding serial killers than a farked up Fargo accent...

TBH the accents not far off... my mom and my aunts and even my fiancee all, especially after a few drinks, occasionally channel Martha Generic.

It's 8 miles across the border from Illinois (and as close to Chicago as it is to Milwaukee). But, I'm sure the mob would never drop bodies across state lines to confuse investigators.

I think subby's joke is about buried suitcases from both Fargo the movie and the show.

And now for a quick history lesson.
wac.450f.edgecastcdn.net
Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers began visiting here in the late 16th century. In fact , it's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que" which is Algonquin for "the good land."

Fargo was about Minnesota, not Fargo, ND... In spite of the name. We do have plenty of people who talk in a somewhat similar fashion depending on where in the state you are.

I was just checking to see the accents 500 miles from where I live.

South -- Key West (only 400 something but then you run into an ocean). Accent change? Tourist. Maybe a bit more Gay.

North -- Atlanta (478 miles) Much more southern than here in St. Petersburg but who has a southern accent in Atlanta anymore?

(North) West -- Mobile, AL (480 miles) Much more southern than Atlanta. Hmm. But they talk like that in Polk County 40 miles away too.

East -- Atlantic Ocean.

Results: Inconclusive but certainly not without precedent.

I was just amused subby chose this source as opposed to something a bit more local and on top of the story. You know, something more along the lines of what you mentioned.

/Now that you mention it, there should be a beer and cheese rule. I don't know what it would be, but I'd endorse it wholeheartedly.

I'll go with where I live, Chicago:
To the East: Pittsburgh, PA ... we sound nothing like yinz
To the South: Memphis, TN ... we sound nothing like ya'll
To the West: Omaha, NE ... I have no idea what people from Omaha sound like, but I doubt like Chicagoans
To the North: Terrace Bay, ON, Canada ... we sound nothing like you, Eh?

I like this 500 mile thing.

To the East: New Orleans. Nobody sounds like those people, unfair comparison.
To the West: El Paso. There's a lot of overlap there.
To the North: Oklahoma City. There's a difference in Okie twang and Texas twang.
To the South: Tampico, Mexico. Are we coming from the north or south side of San Antonio? It's either very different, or very similar.

It's a great show. I look forward to it more than I do for GoT. The last time I watched a series regularly at 10:00 on Tuesday, on FX, was The Shield. So there's that.

Very much agreed. The skipping ahead a year in the last episode caught me by surprise, though. I had to get up to do something for a few minutes when Gus was sitting in his patrol car talking on the phone to Molly and when I got back, Gus was walking in the house and Molly was preggers. Had to back up the DVR to see WTF happened.

Great show.

/(Sorry if that was a spoiler for anyone, but if you're worried about Fargo spoilers, you probably shouldn't be in a Fargo-related thread. Just sayin'.)

Now that would depend on the bodies, wouldn't it.  A couple of used midgets after a hard night might just fit.
