The bill would allow Tesla, or any company that sells zero-emission vehicles directly to consumers, to open up to four stores in the Garden State.

Why not just repeal the stupid protectionist car dealership laws rather than carve out a tiny exception?

// Yeah, I know why...

We do not want to pump our own gas.  Every state that allows both ends up all self serve, with no attendant in sight.  If it is 100 degree out, I want some poor slob filling my car - not me.  When it's snowing, I want some poor slob filling my car - not me.  When it is raining... I think you get the picture.  If I have to wait an extra minute for him to get back around to take the damn nozzle out of the tank - so be it.  I can check my smartphone and text someone safely - I won't miss that minute.

I'd like such an attendant at the supercharger stations.  Yes, I know it takes a lot longer and I'm going to go do something while it recharges.  Clean the windows and get that bird shiat off the car while you are at it there attendant boy with some Tesla approved cleaners - put up a price list and I'll pay it.  There is going to be an attendant at the battery swap kiosks - Tesla most certainly doesn't want a lawsuit because someone botched running the process themselves.

This minimal service mentality is what is wrong with this country.  Move if you don't like it.  Believe me - nobody here is stopping you.

Allow BOTH? There is no full serve in most of the US, you do realize that? Just how lazy or incompetent can you be? You sound like a very entitled douche.

Forced full serve is a huge pain in the ass in Oregon.

Charlie Crews' Zen Master: Forced full serve is a huge pain in the ass in Oregon.

So much THIS. I always fill up in Cali or WA so I can thumb my nose at Oregon's ridiculous refueling rules. If need be I stop at 7 Feathers (Exit 99) where the res permits self service. Fark that.

I did move. Nobody stopped me. Got away from assholes like you.

Much happier now. I can get gas after 10pm. I don't have to wait for the guy to get off his cell phone, roll his eyes, then leave me there for 10 minutes because only one guy is pumping gas for 15 pumps. He will also not steal my credit card information, damage my car, or try through broken english to hit on my wife.

Because he doesn't exist.

Life is great!
