#3. Waking up to a flock of penguins peering inside your tent is the best thing ever.

I believe subby has issues.

C'mon people, peeing=peering for most gov't purposes.  Wake up, sheeple ! ! ! 1 1 1 1 ! ! !

leehouse told me that it's not the penguins you have to look out for, but the cod

If I wasn't such a comfort driven sloth with no real sense of adventure, I'd do this.

It sounds really fun in my mind, but I know I'd not enjoy it.

Luxury camping is hot and cold running urine.

I think that at first, it would be a bit of a suprise but would quickly turn into an "oh, neat!" moment. I'd try to see if it was the same one each day and if so, I'd name him George.

The author of that article needs to be clubbed to death, by seals, using whales as the clubs.

I just set up a trip where I'm going to camp in antarctica, so I'm getting a kick out these replies.

I'm assuming he's a researcher.  I've gotten to go a lot of places for work, but this one I had to shell out some dough for.

So intentionally screwing up a word in headline for reader lulz is still the best way to get greenlit.

/don't know why I care, have never submitted an article.

Yep.  We now know what Subby's kink is.  We didn't really want to know, but now we know anyway.

Wonder what a trip like that would cost?

How much, exactly? I'm deciding between Antarctica and Galapagos. I mean, I'll probably do both in the next few years, but just out of curiosity...

13) It's now a lot safer since Oderus Urungus moved out.

I'd do it in a heartbeat if money, time and my old creaky knees were no issue.  I'd stay the hell away from those seals though.....I saw "Ten Below".

Maintenance.
Someone has to fix all the researcher's crap.

Yeah, go ahead and pet the head of that friendly looking leopard seal and watch your arm disappear.  Peering, not peeing, subs.  I hope in vain this doesn't become a "thing" because humans have farked up every other continent on earth, can't we have just one continent that remains in as pristine a condition as possible?  Well, at least until global warming melts the entire thing.

Wasn't the Ship of Fools enough last year?  Are they really recreuiting people to reach land when the minimum amount of record sea ice in March still requires am ice breaker to reach land?

This.. No matter how much we try to minimize impact on the landscape being there impacts the landscape.

Interesting.  I checked to see if there were any commercial tours from here in New Zealand.  Given the long history of the country acting as a base for Antarctic expeditions and the current research programmes, I'd have thought there would have been something departing from here, but apparently not. They all look like they come from Argentina and are bound for the Antarctic Peninsula.

Penguins don't piss. They crap goo like all birds. Just they do it like a high pressure cannon.

Funny, because penguins don't pee. They release a liquid mix of urine and bird shiat through their cloacae.

The goo freezes before it hits the ground (ice) in Antartica.  Note to all you kinksters out there -- don't contemplate giving a penguin a moustache ride.

I'm in for about 5K, after getting my backside to Argintina.  Trips range from 7 - 15K (not counting getting one's backside to Argentina), but it gets cheaper once you start putting more people in a berth.   We're using Quark as our tour company.  It's a smaller boat http://www.quarkexpeditions.com/en/antarctic/expeditions/crossing-the - circle/ship-information , but they don't let cruise ships land.

'Tis true. Also skua gulls will take an interest in you, though I was never attacked by one (or the other for that matter).

$10,995  for the tour I want. Can someone please help by sending me either cash, gold, or sardinesimg.fark.net
