The Tea Baggers seem to be the gift that keeps on giving.
The only downside to watching the conservatives eat themselves is that they are pretty much costing this nation billions in wasted time by blocking every single farking thing.

It's a bit of a tightrope walk, but I really hope the Republicans destroyed themselves with the Tea Party, but in such a way that it doesn't take the country with them.

Just wait until one of Brat's supporters makes an anti-Semitic "Cantor runs the world with his Jew buddies" comment. It will happen--give it time.

I live in the Henrico County part of Cantor's district and did not see or hear anything about this guy until I got 20 miles out into the countryside. I was highly amused to see some of the Tea Party signage with slogans like "Eric Cantor = RINO" and stuff like that.

Personally I think Cantor has been useless for the people in his area, but I would be afraid to get somebody 'more conservative' in this area. If Cantor lost the primary to to Brat - I don't think there is enough Democrat support to vote in somebody reasonable even over Brat....

Drove down to Stafford for the VA Ren Faire recently and noticed Cantor campaign signs for the first time ever, I honestly didn't know his district was so close to mine (live in Leesburg) because i don;t think he's ever had to seriously campaign before

Cantor's not only a Jew, but a deeply-closeted homosexual as well.  Neither of which particularly endears him to the Teabaggers.

Cantor is a snivelling weasel delusions of grandeur.  Sure, run someone to the right of him against Cantor.  I'd love to hear both of them talk.

I dunno man, that is a pretty good result when searching for something as esoteric as "elephant ouroboros."  I mean, it is an elephant ouroboros... how many of those can be out there really.  It is a great age we live in, is what I'm saying.

This is gonna sound like a no-true-scotsman, but I seriously doubt the intellectual integrity of a "free market enthusiast" that's against the free flow of labor.

Yep... sounds like this one is coming down to a war between ALEC and AIPAC.

Unfortunately, the US economy is the civilian bystander.

I'd already heard that Cantor was in favor of immigration reform, but now he won't allow a vote on it because of his primary challenge.

GOOD.

Cantor's an idiot, a douchebag, a sniveling farthound, a chickenhawk, a loon, and a goon.

Pretty sure those who support Israel so Jesus will come back sooner would prefer that all Jews lived in Israel.

They're taking their lead from Heller, god help us...

Almost overnight the Glorious Loyalty Oath Crusade was in full flower, and Captain Black was enraptured to discover himself spearheading it. He had really hit on something. All the enlisted men and officers on combat duty had to sign a loyalty oath to get their map cases from the intelligence tent, a second loyalty oath to receive their flak suits and parachutes from the parachute tent, a third loyalty oath for Lieutenant Balkington, the motor vehicle officer, to be allowed to ride from the squadron to the airfield in one of the trucks. Every time they turned around there was another loyalty oath to be signed. They signed a loyalty oath to get their pay from the finance officer, to obtain their PX supplies, to have their hair cut by the Italian barbers. To Captain Black, every officer who supported his Glorious Loyalty Oath Crusade was a competitor, and he planned and plotted twenty-four hours a day to keep one step ahead. He would stand second to none in his devotion to country. When other officers had followed his urging and introduced loyalty oaths of their own, he went them one better by making every son of a biatch who came to his intelligence tent sign two loyalty oaths, then three, then four; then he introduced the pledge of allegiance, and after that "The Star-Spangled Banner," one chorus, two choruses, three choruses, four choruses. Each time Captain Black forged ahead of his competitors, he swung upon them scornfully for their failure to follow his example. Each time they followed his example, he retreated with concern and racked his brain for some new stratagem that would enable him to turn upon them scornfully again.

I love it.

But, you could probably also include a "In fact, my good friend Eric, or 'E-Cant' as he's known in Washington, has voted with me 27% of the time.  But if you just give him a few more years in Washington, we'll improve that number!"

So what's the chances that 1) Cantor will lose the primary, and 2) lose the election if he happens to win?  How many of the Baggers will vote for him regardless?

This is just going to be funny as hell, ain't it?

Or maybe Photoshop some pictures of them hugging.

Hey, if John McCain can lose South Carolina because of a black baby, imagine what a photo with Pelosi would do. Sadly the democrats are way too wimpy for those kinds of dirty tactics.

The thing a lot of you are forgetting is that it really doesn't matter who wins or loses in the primaries.  As soon as the candidate is selected the GOP hivemind kicks in and they will all line up behind him or her, for no other reason than to "stick it to the libs".

The GOP civil war solves nothing until they split into two competing parties.  Then things will start to get better.

They are kind of there now during the primaries but you are right, the GOP machine will get behind the stupid tea party candidate if he would happen to beat Cantor.

Personally I am surprised the Tea Party is still doing this.  I would have thought buy now they would have been assimilated to the GOP and no more of these primary challenges would happen.  I guess once you let a little crazy out in to the world, there is no way to get it back under control even if you have taken care of Patient Zero.

Oh please please please let this happen. Watching these shiatbags devour each other in the next few months is all the entertainment I need. The Hawks season is over (sniff....tears) and despite Abreu, and Sales' pitching, the Sox ain't gonna do it, so this is prime time for me. Senate races in Mississippi & Kentucky and now this in VA? I'll take three cold ones and a clean glass, and Jon Stewart please pass the popcorn. Hell, I'll take twelve cold ones and -no- glass. Just. To. Watch.

The hivemind will do whatever it will do.  But Teabaggers often alienate moderates and really don't get that nobody but them believes their nonsense.  All you need to do then is put a Democrat up there that won't soil himself under questioning.

Not to mention the money wasted on the primaries is a pretty big loss.
