Never ran restaurant before? That really is one of those things they warn not to do. But FTA, he didn't just not run the place as well as the owners previous did, he changed the visuals, changed a bunch of the menu, and added poutine to the mix.

Dude, should have gone with chili cheese fries, and stuck with owning the place. Plenty of qualified KFC managers who could run the place, from ordering to payroll. You just have to dangle "and we'll go regional" in front of them, the opportunity to become a multistore manager, at which point they don't have to work 60 hour weeks.

Thread's ova....

The guy did everything wrong and managed to fail at it. Shocker, I know. Read the market (before you open), read your customers (after you open), adapt to both. He did neither.

Yep, that's the big thing he can't see. He changed the stuff that people loved expected from that place, and it drove them away.

What an idiot.

I've said it before: Subway is the best restaurant in Aztec, NM.  I've never eaten at the Chubby Chicken, but after that time in Fort Collins, there was no way. Additionally, should you ever make it to Aztec, do not eat at Rubios.  Assholes!

Wtf, does Rubio's have no franchise control outside of San Diego? Or is that a totally other mexi-joint with no fish tacos?
