Hey, I'm all for it.  It means the Ghanians aren't cursing the US for once, so maybe we'll be able to move past them this year.

Since midpoint isn't in this thread yet, let me post the details of the World Cup prediction mini-league he's set up for soccer/football Farkers:

"The Fark Fitba Prediction League for the World Cup is now open - all welcome. A simple fun game to fill in the excitement gaps in [say] Switzerland Vs Ecuador, or Netherlands Vs. Spain.

Go to: http://predictor.talksport.co.uk

Please join under your Fark name or closest possible. Slapdash amateurism is very much in our idiom.

Search for our private mini-league: FD3AE-RFX

See the Talksports pages for help on making predictions.

We'll take scores from the 1st round of games commencing 12th June. If you miss this deadline don't worry, you won't be far behind the leaders.."

They still have Nani. He can attack down either wing and was instrumental in Man United's UEFA Champions League and the World Club Cup Final wins in 2008. Take your eye off him at your peril.

It's in South America, there's going to be a ton of hoodoo flying.  Imagine if it was in Haiti.

That was 6 years ago. If you watched any EPL the last 2 years, you wouldn't pin your hopes on Nani

He hasn't been on the first team sheet a lot, and that means his goal production suffered ...but that's not the only reason. United are looking for the next Giggsy. Maybe Pedro from Barca would be good, now they have Neymar, who knows.

That witch doctor is out of control. Ribery's been ruled out with lower-back trouble.

the World Cup will not be the same without The Anteater.

I wish that witch doctor would reverse the spell that made Klinsi take Julian Green over Landon Donovan.

/Yeah, fark you too Ghana.

I dunno about you guys, but if this witch doctor hobbles Drogba, I'm sending him a fruit basket.

Wrong group.
But Germany might want to have a word with him about Neuer, Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Klose, Khedira, the Bender twins, Gündogan,..

Oh, and I just open a sports site in another tab and saw that Germany had a friendly against f*cking Armenia today which lead with this image
www.sportal.de

So Germany can add Marco Reus, who was a big hope given his recent form, to the list.

We might get to the point where it's easier to count the countries without injury troubles.

As long as we hire the Druid that reversed the witch doctor's curse on England 4 years ago, it's all good.

Ghana....

..aaand it's official: Reus is out for the Cup. f*ck
At least he'll be in good company with Ribery, Suarez, Falcao, possibly Ronaldo, Diego Costa Manuel Neuer,..

Currently it feels like that If the trend holds, this won't be a real World Cup, it'll be a "what-if" biatchfest featuring B teams.
