I just use my regular sammich maker.

It's a little more work, but she doesn't seem to mind.

Not the worst gadget I've seen. I picked up a pop tart maker from Goodwill for a dollar.

ftc I have used this sandwich maker at least 1 or 2 times

I have never been so stoned that I found myself trying to make ice cream sammiches at home while unable to remember the numbers 1 or 2.

why not just use normal cookies? they generally taste better.

That's . . . not an ice cream sandwich maker. It's just a waffle iron refitted to make cookies one at a time in the most inefficient way possible.

An ice cream sandwich maker would be something where you pour in eggs, cream, sugar, flour and flavorings, and half an hour later it spits out some ice cream sandwiches ready to eat.

I mean, they might as well just sell you a spoon and a lighter and really increase their profit margin.

I've been trying , for years, to find a decent recipe for the cookie/bread for ice cream sandwiches. These days, store bought ice cream sandwiches have too much ice cream, and too little of the outside cookie/bread. They were better proportioned when I was a kid.

Given how cheap ice cream sandwiches already are, what exactly is the benefit of using this?  You'll probably end up spending more money making them yourself.

As is the case with a lot of good homemade food. It's not the cost. It's the knowing every ingredient. It's know you made it yourself.

They start off cracker dry, but the moisture works into them.

Ice cream sandwiches would be a good use for stale cookies. This being Fark, a stale cookie is one that's gotten more than a day old.

I already have an ice cream sandwich maker. It also makes regular sandwiches. I call her my wife.

I see the FARK basement gourmands have totally missed the point of the ice cream sandwich maker. One day you will venture out of your basements and discover real, 3D women. Some of you (not many) will be lucky enough to find a wife or house mate, and keep her long enough that she will make you a home made ice cream sandwich. It will be a still warm, fresh-baked cookie sandwiching a flattened slab of ice cream. The pleasant contrast of the cold ice cream and the warm cookie will add to the enjoyment of the overall experience of eating an ice cream sandwich. THEN you will know about making home made foods as opposed to the convenience store versions.

Wait, so you're saying that there are pimply lard-assed social outcast girlies who live in dad's basement and may or may not venture out one day to discover 3D men?  That just doesn't make intuitive sense.

Well, there surely are some, yes... But, my point was women are more than something to "keep" as a servant to make your farking food... Not to mention the assumption everyone reading is a male who is actually interested in women in the first place...

/Also, everyone I know exists in 4D...

The ice cream shop up the road from just started selling these. The cookies are freaking huge and there ice cream is good too. Just looking at someone else eating one made me gain a pound.

One day, before a backpacking trip, I'll have to try one.
