Wow.   Markley's Law violation in the very initial writing thingie in the thread.

For those not familiar:
A variant of Godwin's Law: As an online discussion of gun owners' rights grows longer, the probability of an ad hominem attack involving penis size approaches 1.

Like Godwin's Law, the assumption is that the person who violates it has by default lost the argument.

No, you do it because you are an attention whore, and you do it because you don't understand that you aren't helping your own cause by giving groups like the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Ownership "victories" like at Starbucks and Chilis.

So stop it.

You want to open carry?  Fine, do it with a handgun in a proper holster.

Yes, yes you do subby. I'm guessing you also have a big boner the whole time your marching around too.

If the quote is referring to the guy in the white t-shirt he looks like he needs to carry a lot more heavy things and walk a lot farther at least four times a week for the next year at minimum, and he should be thanking Chili's and other fast food restaurants for keeping him away from the Awesomely Outrageous Triple-Fried Pizzachanga Flingers

I'll laugh when people start to get robbed because of the really expensive rifles they're carrying.

Walking around with an AR-15 is a service to the rest of us, so we know never to speak to you or listen to what you have to say.

And thank you for dilligently working for that right to be removed.

I thought that was the whole issue that you can't do that in Texas right now.

A correct observation of Freudian principles is not an ad hominem attack.  Here's an ad hominem attack:

Living in Texas, and knowing the mentality of people in Texas, the odds favor these clowns eventually scaring someone that has a gun with them, that decides he should shoot at them to protect his family.  This will end comically, as a fire fight erupts in the parking lot.

Pass the popcorn please, I can't wait.

I begin to think these guys have to be on Josh Sugarmann's personal payroll.  They have to be.  Nobody else has done such a great job advancing his agenda in years.

2014-06-03 08:49:32 AM
I sorta like having a few of these guys around.  Not a lot of them mind you, but one or two.  The thing is, either it's legal to carry the thing around, or it's not.  In this municipality, it seems to be legal.  And forcing the forces that be to admit to the actual legality of the matter every now and then cuts down on the "well, it's legal but we really don't like you do do it" kind of capricious nonsense.  I really hate that crap.

Why yes, if the law were changed, that would be cool with me as well.

How long before someone sees a guy with a rifle at the ready and decides to stand his/her ground?

2014-06-03 08:50:38 AM
I always carry an assault rifle when debating some middle aged suburban mommy in a Home Depot parking lot. It's the only way to ensure my own safety.

2014-06-03 08:50:48 AM
Because when I think of the "good guy" I want firing a weapon in a movie theater or on the street to shoot a "bad guy", it's these assclowns that come to mind.

So I'm in isle six looking for left handed clevis hangers when I hear a scream.  I look up just in time to see a hoard of islamofascists  knock a grandmother to the ground while stepping on the flag.  Now if I had just my 9mm Glock I might be able to stop one or two but thank Jesus that I was carrying my legal AK-47.

2014-06-03 08:51:22 AM
I know it's legal in some states, I just don't understand why they have to flaunt it in front of everyone. I mean, there are kids here! What are we supposed to tell our kids when they see that. What you do in the privacy of your own home is your business. When you start bringing it out in public, then . . . . you're just promoting the ammosexual agenda.

Maybe instead "confidence" is what we should think of when "penis size" comes into the gun conversation.  Here we have a bunch of pussies that see nothing but boogiemen around every corner and are terrified of their fellow citizens to the point where they can't leave their home without carrying a device which can end the life of anyone around them in a split second, at great range, and with little effort.

No, their penises might not actually be small but they all seem to have confidence issues.

If gun nuts did not have tiny penises, then why do gun control advocates constantly make references to male genitalia?

/Checkmate, gun nuts.

the gun is heavy and walking around with it in this Texas heat might make me lose weight and be able to fend off attackers without getting so winded I have to just use a gun :(

if you're intimidated by people openly carrying firearms you've got bigger issues than worrying about their weight.

Guns are for pussies who are too weak to fight with their fists, or too stupid to fight with their words.

These guys are fearful of a lot it seems. I know a lot of people whe feel the need to own weaponry for protection and they really have nothing to fear except what is going on in their own imaginations. And remember fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate.

2014-06-03 08:54:37 AM
Wait did the video say that they want to take their ARs into the Texas GOP convention.  I'm sorry but if you can't realize that allowing someone to take firearms much less ARs into a political convention is a bad idea you are an idiot.

How close to his face may I legally put mine? One foot, six inches? Might be legal, but it wouldn't make it any less douchey or provocative.

Personally I believe these asshats are doing their cause more harm than good so, please proceed brave patriots.

I really hope these guys can consider their point made, and cut this shiat out. The law of averages pretty much locks it in that something f**ked-up will happen if they keep it up.

None of them has had any effect on the size of one's junk.

You're sitting in Luby's right by the emergency exit when a man with a rifle walks through the front door. You have exactly one second to decide to stand up and run, shoot him with your own rifle, or sit and wait it out.

What do you do? (That should be read as Keanu from that bomb on the bus movie)

You must get some satisfaction out of it, Sparky. Otherwise, you wouldn't be doing it.
