The batter's nickname is Country Breakfast. Frankly, I'm surprised this doesn't happen to him every couple of games.

I found it hilarious they brought Mariot in and immediatly he throws 1 pitch and a pop out to the catcher to end the inning.

Probably would of been better off keeping Paredes on the team and having him pitch.

Apparently it's the first time the Jays have ever started a game with the first 8 batters reaching safely

Fun fact: The Detroit Tigers have two position players on their roster with better pitching stats (Don Kelly, 0.1 IP, 0 ERA and Danny Worth, 2 IP. 4.5 ERA)

As a Saints fan, I can tell you that you do NOT want a teammate named Aaron Brooks.

That start kinda reminds me of Chien-Ming Wang, and he somehow stayed in the majors for almost a decade.

Aaron Brooks played some NFL football, then some NBA basketball, now he's playing pro baseball?

That may be a terrible ERA but he's clearly a hell of an athlete.

Meanwhile, the son of the nanny of the Martinez brothers (Ramon and Pedro) got his first start for the Sox last night and pitched seven innings of shutout ball.  So kinda the opposite, I guess.

I think you wanted the thread a couple down making fun of the Royals for being thrown out at first base from the outfield.

This is the thread making fun of the Royals for having a pitcher get eaten alive in 2/3 of an inning of work.

(And neither thread should be confused with the thread from earlier in the week making fun of The Royals for going through something like 5 batting coaches in under a year.)

Come back tomorrow. I'm sure there will be a thread making fun of them for something else. There's really no shortage of reasons at this point.

Now where did I leave that bandwagon?
