I wonder how many of these edits involve doing and undoing vandalism by eighth graders (like "Johnny Jizzstain could kick Kane's ass in a real match" and such BS).  It really is an amazingly big problem on Wiki to see how many pages get random lines of crap left in them just because some kid wants to impress his friends.

I see Zeppelin's on the list, too. I wonder how much of that has to do with accusations of plagiarism.

Sarah Palin falls short of the top 100 at 104. She should try harder.

Of course, she's not actually smart enough to edit her own page. I'm pretty sure that Obama is. Maybe even Dubya. He can't spend all his spare time chopping wood.

An edit war between the Presidential cousins would be fun.

Big B the Wood-Chopper:  Laura says I am great in bed. So does Michelle.

Oba-ma-la-dee Obam-a-la-da: Do you know how to keep a Bush in suspense? I'll tell you now. Just turn the webpage and see.

Laura: Get off line you dorks. You're wasting electricity -- and air.

Michelle-eat-well: Are they still on line? What a couple of dorks.

Baby Doll: Mom, can I borrow the car?

Laura: Take the Secret Service with you. They need to get out of house. Daddy hasn't walked them today.

Baby Doll: Oh, Moooooom! Hi, Michele!

Michelle-eat-well: Hi, Baby!

Not surprised by much here.
Wasnt surprised that Abortion wasnt on the list.
Sarah Palin, Abortion, evolution and other volatile pages are "locked".
President Obama's page is "locked".

Otherwise the pages would be worthless, at the top of the list, and constantly vandalized.

Yep. In extreme cases, they make pending edits go before a "reviewer." I'm a reviewer, myself.

Quite a few, although, it really depends on the subject. You wouldn't believe how often people just write "hi" on any random page. Thankfully, there's a bot that takes care of most of that. Sometimes it's not crap, but it's some business or person trying to promote itself, which gets removed as well. Sometimes, on pages related to religion, someone will delete well-sourced info and replace it with a long, rambling text.

Don't get me wrong, I like Blink 182.  They are entertaining and have some fun songs, but they aren't as relevant as the were say... 10 years ago.  Why all the activity?  Did they drop an album?  Did someone die?

Speaking of dead people, why was 2008 more edited than 2013?

The only animated entertainment on the list - that in itself is mind boggling - is a rather cheesy little semi-Canadian cartoon, and it's #6 on the list? Ahead of of LOST (TV Series), ahead of the 2008 US Presidential Election, ahead of September 11 attacks, ahead of Doctor Who?!?!

Wow.

Eh, my bills get paid and yet my name isn't international shorthand for "mind-numbingly stupid," my picture isn't in the spank bank of pathetic old men, I'm not white-knighted by guys who cut a tiny hole in a cantaloupe then microwave it for 40 seconds before tacking a "Runner's World" cover to it, and I didn't singlehandedly ruin the presidential chances of an entire political party for decades to come, so I'll play the cards I've been dealt, thanks.

Hmmm, you may be right. It is a pretty cool site, and the fact that it has all of these voluntary editors gives it that open source goodness and prevents that it can never be gamed or abused.

Hey, speaking of that, Drew should really work on getting this site a good dmoz listing. It would give him so much more traffic.

I tend to pick up a lot of grammatical mistakes in articles about other countries. I would guess a lot of the more obscure articles - or at least parts of them - are submitted by college students or grad students working on their theses, some of whom might not be native-born English speakers.

Assuming no trolling (which is a HUGE assumption) edits, I can see a good chunk of those being constantly edited.

President Bush may be out of office, but some of his legacy programs or ideas are still in effect, not to mention any philanthropy or speaking events he can get into. The man has global connections and garners huge attention (positive and negative). It's perfectly acceptable to see his page change even on a bi-weekly basis.

That said, I can imagine a sizeable chunk of those edits are farktards doing things like "BUSH THE DONKEY F***ER" and mods having to change it back.

Wikipedia is a great thing, but the ability to flag controversial pages and limit edits approved by a vetting group is long overdue.

Heh, I looked up Denmark, where I live.

Conservapedia seems very confused about the term Liberal. In USA, you use it to describe Socialists, in the rest of the world its used to describe Liberals (that's a rightwing ideology). So, the political history of Denmark is just a mess.

It seems to confuse them to no end that the Danish political parties uses the term correctly, so their history is completely messed up (no, the Danish welfare state was not founded in the 1830s...)

And when you click on their definition of Liberal, from the Denmark page, it links to Obama.

Excellent comeback.  She's going to need to spend some of that $12mil on aloe vera to deal with that burn.

Also, that wasn't insulting at all to regular people with Downs kids, so don't worry about it and keep being amazing.
