Dumped him out of a wheelchair?

What did Zack Ryder do to deserve this a second time?

That was a pretty good beating all on its own, BEFORE he did the wheelchair dump.

So the child with CP who is in a wheel chair was moving slowly?

I say wire his testicles up to a 220V source and give the kid he beat up the controller.

2014-05-30 04:53:32 PM
What the security officer failed to do was beat up some fully functional kids (we call them normies) and throw them to the ground first. Then he's okay, but now...

Every wheelchair-using person I've known over the years considers their chair to be basically an extension of their body. So if you wouldn't touch the person, you shouldn't be touching their chair.

Pushing the kid's chair without permission is a whole 'nother level of stupid.

If he were a real cop,  it would be a wag of the finger and payed vacation.

Did anyone overhear this exchange? I mean it sounds exactly like the final test I had to perform when I took that Faith Healing course. Was he saying "Through the power of Jesus I command thee to walk" as he struck the boy repeatedly? That's how it is supposed to work.

Sounds like the kid did not keep up his end of the performance.

I don't think society is producing anyone with the necessary temperament to be a police officer in the way that we regard them traditionally.  The modern personality does not seem to have the qualities of restraint and self-control.  I think those days of growing up and being mature are just gone.  Now everybody's a four year old forever.

I get the distinct impression that security guard would have pushed a regular kid, too.

Agreed. I think it may have taken him a smidge longer to get there, but he still would have done it.

Skipped the part where the kid spit in the guard's face. In my opinion they should both face assault charges.

Grabbing the wheelchair and pushimg him is the equivalent of manhandling an able bodied person. This kid had every right to spit in the guard's face.

1) have cerebral palsy that confines you to a wheel chair
2) give attitude to mall ninja cop when he tells you to hurry up and get to class
3) spit in his face when he literally rolls you down the hall against your will
4) take a minor beating
5) sue school
6) profit

or, you know, it is like maybe those guys just don't ever make it into the news, because they do their job calmly and with no issue.

No, I like your idea that every single person in today's society is immature and lacks any sort of impulse control.  That makes more sense.

Man handling someone is not the same as spitting in someone's face. Spitting on someone is the exchange of bodily fluids and is considered battery.

That came after the guard shoved him in his chair for moving too slowly. Which is beyond dickish and should not ever be done (unless the chair is stuck on the tracks and a train is coming, that sort of thing.) People with CP have much trouble speaking clearly which can be extremely frustrating when you are trying to explain why you are not the fastest thing on wheels or tell Bubba Rentacop to get his nasty hands off you. So being unable to successfully protest verbally, he tried to remove the jerk's hands, and he was then handcuffed and pushed around. No, he should not have spit. That's nasty. But I understand. The escalation leading to the spitting and the assault was due to very poor decisions on the part of the power tripping cop wannabe.

Correction

*agravated battery in some cases.

Reading the account, there is almost zero doubt in my mind that the kid was axcting like a little shiat.  That being said, a calmer and more measured response was probably a better option.  I have zero doubt, though, that the kid was dilly dallying, and spitting in the guards face was pretty much unacceptable and completely worthy of punishment.  Not a beat down, though.

Dante Hicks: What are you writing over there, your memoirs?

Randal Graves: I'm battling this jackass on his blog's message boards.

Dante Hicks: About what?

Randal Graves: About how he's got too much free time and no life. A guy in a wheelchair who's always preying on other people's sympathies, writing these long diatribes about how he'll never walk again, and how walkers should appreciate the blessings of their functioning legs, so I've been getting into it with him, throwing it right back in his stupid crippie-boy face about how I love to just sit around, and how I'd rather drive to the end of the block than walk!

Dante Hicks: The guy's in a wheelchair.

Randal Graves: Yeah. That's why I called him "crippie-boy."

I dunno, friend of mine's kid got spit on in school by a classmate and he punched him. Cops wouldn't do anything to the spitter but did arrest my friend's kid.

I agree totally that this was 80% the guard's fault. BUT, spitting is assault in the majority of jurisdictions and charges should have been pressed. They should have very quickly then been dropped but he needs to understand that it IS assault.
