Purposely, sarcastically misstating someone else's point of view in an effort to sound smart and reasonable while making the other person seem childish is no way to go through life, son.

/ok, that may have been too long for that reference to work properly

Primum non nocere: I'm a boating enthusiast, and that video was sad to see. I have a 30' foot day cruiser. I'm older, worked all my life, been fortunate, played by the rules, and have paid over a $1M in taxes over the last decade. When I see larger vessels than my own, I'm not envious. If the owner played by the rules, good for him. If he didn't, I hope he get's busted.

So does subby hope my modest cruiser capsizes? If Yes, fark you. If No, at what length overall (LOA) do you start with tiny violins? 40 feet? 50 feet? 60 feet? 70 feet? 80 feet?

Good for you on being able to fund your enthusiasm and enjoy your passion..

I sincerely hope nobody's boat ever capsizes under any circumstances, especially while underway with people onboard.

Also violin size is inversely proportionate to LOA, so if you capsize a dinghy, some guy with a standing bass comes out to play!

If I hadn't recently upgraded our living situation, I seriously was considering getting one of these and using it as a summer getaway/lake cruiser/houseboat outside Dallas:

Yeah it's a beast, but it does really well on fuel at no-wake cruising speeds, and the total hours on most of them is very low, and offers plenty of room for long weekends.

Maybe in a few more years......
