You just answered your own question.

2014-05-28 02:23:17 PM
Because I've already seen 'Blazing Saddles.'

2014-05-28 02:26:21 PM

propasaurus: Because I've already seen 'Blazing Saddles.'

Which, I'm sure, is still 10 times funnier.

2014-05-28 02:28:10 PM
Because his humor is consistent in that there are usually 10 weak jokes for every good one and I don't like that style of comedy.

2014-05-28 02:33:14 PM
Cuz I get all the fart-jokes I need at home, thank-you-very-much.

And you haven't gotten your tickets yet because?

Based on the trailer, it doesn't appear to be particularly entertaining - certainly not worth seeing in a theater with a bunch of Seth McFarlane fans.

2014-05-28 02:33:56 PM
Because I'm assuming we've seen most of the best gags in the trailers, and I'll be content to wait for this to come to Netflix.

2014-05-28 02:39:40 PM
Because we're a bunch of judgy asses who can't enjoy two hours in a theater with a movie created to make us laugh.

2014-05-28 02:40:01 PM
Because it looks stupid and childish.

Because he's a douche who isn't funny, his humor is freaking uncomfortable and I try to avoid his work?

Gah! I'd rather watch an Adam Sandler film.

This is a caring environment, so I shall share...I donate blood platelets monthly and they have dvds (a disturbing amount of which are bootlegs) for you to watch while you sit there.  I watched Ted a while ago, and it wasn't that bad

/It could of been the blood loss I guess
//I'll catch this on Netflix

Ted was awesome, and I actually don't mind McFarlane, but the expense of seeing a film in theaters restricts me to only seeing the big blockbusters. I'll probably wait for Netflix.

2014-05-28 02:49:25 PM
I can wait for netflix

2014-05-28 02:50:09 PM
Looks funny to me. But I'll get it on Bluray from Netflix. I don't go to the theater much.

2014-05-28 02:50:39 PM
Because Sarah Silverman?

May see it anyway as I go to the movies with a group of friends every week

2014-05-28 02:50:50 PM
Here's the thing, I think Seth MacFarlane has a great knowledge of humor. I think he knows quite well how to be funny. The trick is to not do it in a way that makes you seem like an ass, or someone that's trying to hard to be noticed. Over the years, he has been on the wrong side of that line more than not (IMHO).

The preview for this actually make me want to see it, more than I ever wanted to see Ted (still haven't), but I'm concerned the best parts have already been seen and the rest of the movie I'll be thinking, "You only have yourself to blame.

Your idea of "being challenged" is watching a Seth MacFarlane comedy? Ok.

2014-05-28 02:52:58 PM
I'm not going to a movie theater.

2014-05-28 02:53:02 PM
Because it insists upon itself?

Because I'll be watching a much cooler movie, but it's made by a small studio and you've probably never even heard of it?

/who am I kidding, I'll wear a meat helmet and sit front row center.

2014-05-28 02:53:45 PM
It looks funny to me. I'll probably check it out from the library, let it sit on the shelf until it racks up a late fee, then hastily watch it the same day I take it back.

2014-05-28 02:53:59 PM
Because there will be asinine interludes of the ghastly pseudo showtunes that do absolutely nothing to advance the plot.

Most people watching a MacFarlane comedy are challenged in some way.

Maybe it takes him 17 times to understand a joke so for him Seth Macfarlene humor is perfect.

2014-05-28 03:02:57 PM
Because there will recurring instances where a complete stop in the action will blatantly cross the line that separates an amusing build in suspense, and the obvious real intent of filling 35 seconds of screen time with unchanging frames that are cost effective uses of production costs.

I like MacFarlane, but the commercials are kind of cringe worthy.

I imagine I'll like a few scenes/gags but be meh on the movie as a whole.

I don't think that's accurate. Especially when you switched around the words to make it so the poster's humor is uncomfortable. There is no consistency in your response.

I'm holding out for Frasier:  The Movie.  The sophisticated high brow routines of Doctors Frasier and Niles Crane and some British lady will delight us as well as enlighten us, much to the chagrin of John Mahoney's grumpy simpleton - one Martin Crane.  Oh the shenanigans.AND tomfoolery.  I cahn't wait.

The commercial consists of MacFarlane yelling to try to make unfunny situations seem funny. There's an air of desperation there.

no...you're just covering your ass. I did nothing. The posters intent was clear.

naughtyrev: Because I'm assuming we've seen most of the best gags in the trailers

Have we? I saw it yesterday and partially remember a few.
There are some guys lifting a block of ice or something and it falls on them (Meh)
He says "Mila Kunis" to communicate with Native Americans (cute, but Mike Myers did that with that Law & Order woman's name in that shiatty Love Guru movie no one saw),
A guy bursts in and some other guys says, "Please don't kill us on sex night" (meh)
The Doc Brown DeLorean gag (cute, but if you've seen Family Guy enough you should be tired of Seth doing this)
Something where he and Charlize are sitting down and he mentions something about being high that doesn't make sense out of context of the movie.

2014-05-28 03:15:31 PM
I like Family Guy and all..

But, *yawn*

heh. ok. If the humor is uncomfortable (by definition) then it is a relatively safe assumption that it is challenging to the audience. Is that better?

I think a two-hour Family Guy movie would be more entertaining than this crap. Not that I'd pay to see it or anything.

2014-05-28 03:19:46 PM
I won't be seeing it. Now, I loved the first few seasons of Family Guy and signed the petition to bring it back from cancellation. Problem is, after it came back, other people started liking Seth McFarlane.
That wasn't part of the deal. If I can't look down on someone for either not having seen something that I like, what's the point.

You did this to yourself, Seth.

so its a reading comprehension problem with you then. Or maybe you're just a deliberately obtuse dickhead. Either one works.
