Solid State Vittles: Doctor Fegg: dpzum1: Solid State Vittles: Experimenting on recipes for your own hot sauce at home is pretty fun.  And cheap.

For farks sake, don't forget to WASH your hands before visiting the loo...

Wear latex gloves while handling peppers, washing multiple times may not help. Not that I would know anything about that.

/as much of the story as your going to get...

I once popped the lid off the blender to get an up close look if the still hot roasted habaneros had reached the consistency I wanted.  That was a, um, what's the word I'm looking for... mistake?

Meh - Once was making my own chili base with habenaro and thai peppers - opened the lid on the pot I was cooking it in the wrong way and got a face full of capsaicin-laced steam - Literally pepper spraying myself....

/about as bad as the CS chamber in basic.....
//ended up taking it outside to the BBQ grill to finish it off....

SpdrJay: I use a much better hot sauce, but you wouldn't have heard of it.

The stuff I use is so exclusive its only available a couple times a year, and if the maker doesn't like you.......Well..No SAUCE for YOU!

My Dad makes it, I grow most of the Peppers.

If you want some good pickles buy a jar and slice a habenrero into it.

Makes no sense for them to move. Capiscum is not a challenging effluent to filter out of air exhaust, and the cost of a few filters is a fraction of having to relocate out in the middle of nowhere, or to some shiat state with no regulation or services.

I think it might have been a good move for them to go to Texas.  They wouldn't have to deal with such an anti-business climate, they could fire all their union employees and only have to spend about $8.50 per hour on their new employees.  They also wouldn't have to deal with a bunch of Californians crying "WHAAAAA it smells like hot sauce!" Texas would also suck their collective dicks in lieu of charging them taxes for about a decade.
