Tonight, Lance Stephenson reaches his final form.

Pacers lose by forfeit

Of course there will be complaining; Miami's playing so everyone will whine about how they're getting all the calls unless Indiana goes to the line 3x as often. Hell, Indiana fans have said as much - that's the only evidence of legitimate officiating.

BTW, when we're discussing rigged sports, why are we talking about the NBA rigging it for big markets?

The NHL currently has NYC, Chicago, LA, and Montreal in their final four.
The NBA currently has Miami, Indianapolis, San Antonio, and Oklahoma City.

If a league SHOULD be accused of rigging the playoffs so the major markets move forward, we need to start talking about the NHL, right?

Pacers do the unexpected each game. I expect them tonlose badly. Ergo they win big.

Mark, I was in the Indiana Pacers locker room before the game and I asked Pacers coach Frank Vogel how the teams in the sport of basketball determine the winner.  Vogel showed me a hard-bound leather NBA rulebook and turned to page eight, which outlined the rules for the various ways that the two teams could "score" points.  Among these are the "field goal" and the "free throw".  I informed Vogel that there were too many rules in this book and that I did not have the time to learn them.  At this point, Pacers guard Lance Stephenson proceeded to throw me out of the locker room.  As I was flying through the air, I asked Stephenson if this would count as a field goal in the game of basketball.  However, it appears that he did not hear my question, as he had begun to go to blows with Pacers guard Evan Turner over who should pick up a quarter off the floor of the Pacers' locker room.  I'll try and find out what happened to that quarter at halftime.  Back to you guys at the studio.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra on Rashard Lewis' no points, no rebounds, no assists in Game 3: "One of my favorite stat lines of all-time."

Nobody wants to talk about the NHL.

Dear Pacers, need a peptalk.  One year ago you were one play from advancing to the Finals, but your coach decided to sit your LeBron stopper in the paint on the bench because [insert any reason here] and then we all got to watch LeBron win the game with a layup.  Try working toward a chance to get a do-over and send Vogel to the locker room.

So what you are saying is that in about 4 or 5 years, LeBron will probably have surpassed both of them by those metrics

People forget Jordan. Hell he took years off then came back and won again. He was a force.

Greatest players I ever saw were Jordan Bird and Magic. No one else is even close.

Pacers have decided to shake it up and give up the lead early.

Damn, how many stutter steps can LeBron fit in that move across the lane?!

2014-05-26 09:02:25 PM
Ray Allen? You let him dribble you into a foul?

2014-05-26 09:04:49 PM
Jeez, another 3 point foul

Flop. Jesus Battier floppes

Pacers lucky to be down only 8. giving up what, 5 steals and a few more unforced TOs?

I feel I've seen all 2 funny scenes I this new Western comedy a hundres times now.

Lebron is underrates in his defense of passing lanes. He steals passes like George steals Hibberts girlfriends.

Chris Ween: Flop. Jesus Battier floppes

A bit, but Scola made it easy for him by continuing to move towards him after Scola initially planted and Battier had launched the shot

2014-05-26 09:10:51 PM
How is that a foul?

2014-05-26 09:11:48 PM
Make upnfoul on Cole...who didn't touch George.

2014-05-26 09:12:42 PM
As bad as the Pacers have played they are only down 7.

2014-05-26 09:16:31 PM
Bosh is a jerk. Quit scoring dammit

2014-05-26 09:17:27 PM
It's not pretty, but this Pacers lineup is losing ground to the Heat slower than their 1st quarter lineup.

2014-05-26 09:18:59 PM
Games like this is why I still put Reggie Miller at the top of the Pacers players historically. He came to play every game. PG seems content to wait for a win instead of go and get it.

2014-05-26 09:20:25 PM
How can Bosh shoot with those tiny raptor arms?

2014-05-26 09:29:25 PM
Huh. I guess Indiana isn't allowed to shoot free throws tonight.

They need to drive more

2014-05-26 09:36:50 PM
That doesn't seem to favor them either.

2014-05-26 09:38:11 PM
That probably didn't need a foul tacked on

I'm not convinced that James was fouled on that drive, but I'm guessing that's what the Pacers need to do (i.e. drive to the rim)? I just got back from drinks with a friend so I don't know anything more than the score.

2014-05-26 09:40:08 PM
The arena sounds like a morgue at halftime in spite of Miami leading. What the hell?

2014-05-26 09:41:31 PM
Pacers can't play much worse and only down by 5. But Heat haven't really hit a rythym. They have their stars scoring but not excessively.

I'd like to see the Pacers put pressure on Lebron by having PG shut down Wade late. But I'd Bosh or Allen is feeling it then it won't matter.

2014-05-26 09:41:32 PM
Only down 5. I'm a bit shocked that Indiana ended up winning the quarter. Didn't feel like it

Pacers have turned the ball over like they think they get points for doing it. And yet they are e still in it. Not sure how. There have been chances for Miami to blow it wide open and they let the Pacers back in it. Not many free throws either way. Some ticky tacky fouls both ways. bad Lance too.

The Pacers make boneheaded decisions with the ball that lead to turnovers? Tell me it ain't so! It's not like that was the book on them in this same series last year. Also, if and when Wade gets going, it'll be lights out. With him shooting 1/5 in the first half, that's helped the Pacers stay in it.

Well, so much for the good vibes towards Indy
