Silk Road was busted open wider than Subby's Mom a few years ago. They even caught the guy allegedly running it who was calling himself The Dread Pirate Roberts, but could have been a patsy for the REAL Dread Pirate Roberts. There was whole oodles of tech talk about all this.

No different than any flea market in Pennsylvania.  Seriously, there is some WAY illegal shiat sold right out in the open, and if you know the right people there's lots more.

I saw an actual e-meter for sale at a flea. Can't get too much more illegal than that.

Hidden Fark is so much better than regular Fark.

But the internet also sells steak, chocolate, and other savory items.

Thank goodness Patricia Arquette will sort all of this out for us.

Why buy one when you can build one yourself?  The plans aren't complicated and I've seen them on the open Web.

I tried to use the deep net one time, it was hidden pretty good. Good enough that I got lost and ended up here by accident.

I prefer the Derp Web. It's infinitely more vast.

So, if one wanted, can you actually buy drugs on there, or is it the drug version of chatting with a 15yo girl?

2014-05-26 01:37:37 PM
Hmmm. An article telling everyone about Tor, showcasing its anonymity and ability to keep one hidden from the NSA. Surely this article isn't bait to trick people into using a browser that the NSA already knows how to track.

Yeah. This was at the time they'd hit you with a copyright infringement if you had one and weren't a scientologist.

No no no, you buy your narcotics from Canada, your viagra from the gas station, weed from the mexican resturaunt down the street, and anti-biotics from Mexico.

TFA a little light on content. Once you get TOR up and running it's not like it itself is the Amazon of drug dealers. In the TOR browser you then go to either of these two sites:

http://silkroad6ownowfk.onion/login
http://pandorajodqp5zrr.onion/

After you make yourself an account (don't use your real email address duh) you can then buy stuff if you have Bitcoin (in some cases Litecoin also accepted)

A little of column A, a little of column B. Ripoffs on the drug markets happen all the time.

And weapons/hitmen are always fake. The real death business is too complicated for trust to happen on the derpwebz.

Nonsense! The article was perfectly clear and all encompassing. You use the TOR browser and it hides your internet usage and ergo you're now accessing the hidden web sites you didn't know about that don't show up on commercial search engines and selling drugs. Couldn't be easier.

A republican, faux news following derper that I work with was saying one day that he watched some special about the internet they had. This was last year. According to him it said that there's nothing that you can do online that the government can't know about. This special told him that there's nothing that you can do where someone else can't see your every move.

I tried to tell him that there are several ways around being tracked and things you can to do enhance or lock in anonymity but he wouldn't believe me. I tried to figure out what this thing he saw was so that I can see the fear mongering myself but I couldn't find any info on it and lost interest shortly afterwards.

I suppose telling gullible and/or ignorant people that is an effective way to keep them scared straight. From the way he described it this thing seemed like a half or full hour special. I wonder what exactly he watched.

I tried it out and received what was offered.

More expensive than normal channels, but some interesting goods for sale.

I've gone back to calling buddy, less stress than waiting for the mailman.
