On 128 pitches.

Impressive.

Dude was dealing.

You see that speed he showed coming off the mound to make the play at first? That's a gear you only get when you're chasing a no-no in the ninth. Fastest Josh has ever moved in his life.

I thought his arm was gonna fall off during that last at-bat.

No matter how many dicks Reuben Amaro is going to have served at his Memorial Day picnic, it's not enough dicks.

There was that time Ortiz tried to steal his chicken and beer in the clubhouse.

I don't want to hear about injuries. I don't want to hear about bad luck. I don't want to hear about "wait until so-and-so gets going". The Phillies are exactly what they are - an old, mediocre, light-hitting, bad-relief-pitching, sub-.500 team with no farm system, no hope, and no direction. If Ruben isn't fired by the All-Star Break, the attendance at every single home game should make the Marlins stadium look good.

Given how the Sox have played in the past week, they could use a pitcher like Beckett...oh, wait....

\don't care how many injuries they have, they just have a black hole where their 2013 mojo was right now.

First in Philly since 1969.

And after the fifth inning, the strike zone dropped about 3 inches.

/just sayin'

When asked if he wanted to finish the game, Beckett said "I can't go on, I'll go on."

Didn't Kevin Millwood throw one against the Giants at the Vet awhile back? I also seem to remember a Terry Mulholland no no in there too. Could be wrong though.

Has to be the first against the phillies since then. I attended the Millwood no hitter at the vet. And Halladay threw his no hitter in the playoffs there a few years back.

Confirmed.  Mulholland, Millwood, and Halladay all threw no-hitters in Philly.
