And there we see the difference between a fan and collector.  Not sure subbs should be attempting to mock a fan's fandom

I would have expected it to be a lot more.  Under $900 for something iconic...I'd put it in a sports bar in a display with the butt fumble playing on a continuous loop.

For thousands of $$ of publicity, even if the notoriety faded in a few years, $900 is a steal.

My first thought: How odd. I would have thought a Patriots fan would have wanted it.

Of all the people who might buy the jersey that then-New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was wearing when he committed the infamous "Butt Fumble" in 2012, you probably wouldn't think it would be a Jets fan.

Oh. Article read my mind.

"There's no way I could let it get in the hands of an anti-fan or something of that manner to be shoved in our face."

Just like Brandon Moore's butt?

If you're going to be a Jets fan, one thing you absolutely must have is a sense of self-effacing humor.

Under $1000 is a steal for that thing.  Every football fan in the country has seen that play twenty times.  In ten years, that thing will be worth $10,000, easy.

I was thinking it was a steal as well. What does a game worn jersey thats not attached to a famous play go for?

How can he prove that it's really the jersey in question?

If I had the money to burn, I would've paid that much for that jersey. Maybe even more. I'm not even a Jets fan I just like collecting interesting sports items.

Actual official jerseys are close to $300. I'd imagine a game worn one, even by some random player we've never heard of, would cost more. So yeah I guess this is a good deal.

Not sure why a fan would want it but hey he got a good deal. It's not like owning the jersey is going to stop people from laughing at the Jets.

It does make for a good conversation piece though. I have a kilt worn by Rowdy Roddy Piper in his WCW days. Doesn't make WCW in the time any less hilarious, but its a nice conversation piece.
