Pedantic nerd here. Yeah, for the original GI Joes "doll" is way more accurate. But with most of what's marketed as action figures now, which are tiny little all-plastic things with sculpted-on clothing, they're only really dolls in the sense that any small figurine of a humanoid shape can be called a doll.
