I wonder if there is a discount if you just want Bone and give Thugs and Harmony the day off.

2014-05-21 01:26:49 PM
Cool to see how much money the local Fairfax County Fair usually pays for its artists.

This year we have Cheap Trick ($45,000 - $70,000) and All American Rejects ($50,000 - $75,000)

2014-05-21 01:34:14 PM
Woohoo ill sell my car and hire Da Brat!

/no i won't

2014-05-21 01:37:13 PM
Iron Maiden is not on there, so the list is invalid.

2014-05-21 01:38:19 PM
No Pink Floyd. Interest lost.

2014-05-21 01:38:35 PM
I don't think you could pay the band I'm thinking of to leave their theater in Copenhagen. On the flip side, the USA didn't care for the one CD they released here.

2014-05-21 01:39:57 PM
How much of that cost is just for all-blue M&Ms?

2014-05-21 01:40:04 PM
My favorite band is on indefinite hiatus.  My other favorite band has members that are dead, so I don't think that's happening.  Why would I want to hire my least favorite band?  Oh...well, uh, I wouldn't know anything about that...

*walks away whistling*

2014-05-21 01:40:42 PM
My band isn't on the list because no one has ever heard of them.

2014-05-21 01:41:20 PM
the black crows charge less than i expected. and why is moe in all caps?

shiat, think i'm hiring mogwai and robert randolph for my next birthday party

csb time: saw rr and the family band about 6 years back, when they only had the one live album released (with like 4 songs on it iirc)
stopped for gas after the show, and the band pulled up for gas and snacks... and they were listening to their own live album. right after performing.

/it was a little weird

2014-05-21 01:42:22 PM
How much will it take for Talking Heads to do a reunited tour?

2014-05-21 01:42:27 PM
addendum: cowboy mouth is still performing together?

2014-05-21 01:42:45 PM

Calehedron: Iron Maiden is not on there, so the list is invalid.

You can't put a price on excellence.

(Running finger down list)

Insane Clown Posse...Insane Clown Posse...Insane Clown Posse...

On the top cost list, I would hire Stone Temple Pilots in its current form with Chester Bennington and Matchbox 20.

Wonder if I could get a discount on STP since Chester lives about 20ish miles from me in Gilbert.  On second thought, he might charge more to come into Pinal County.

The Silver Mullet: Calehedron: Iron Maiden is not on there, so the list is invalid.

Right on!  I almost added "but they can't be bought" myself.  Up the Irons!

2014-05-21 01:47:43 PM
Just as long as they don't play "The Rains of Castamere".

/or the Chicken Dance

2014-05-21 01:47:47 PM
Dropkick Murphys bring in that much more than Flogging Molly? Really?

In my brain, she isn't wearing anything aside from that shirt.

can I pay them to just GTFO and leave the spotlight?

2014-05-21 01:49:01 PM
A fool and his money are soon parted because his spoiled daughter listens to shiatty music?

2014-05-21 01:49:05 PM
Bieber charges a million?!?!? WTF! I hope you get to beat him for that much.

I heard Dave Matthews charges a lot because they dont want to do shows like that or something.

2014-05-21 01:50:20 PM
Hire them for what? I think Taylor Swift is going to insist on more than $1M before she agrees to fulfill my particular requirements.

2014-05-21 01:50:44 PM

NYRBill: can I pay them to just GTFO and leave the spotlight?

If you have the money to lure them to one place, you must also have the money to have a pyrotechnics accident

This seems a little dated.  There's no way Soulja Boy can get $75k based on that one song he had 7 years ago.  That and I don't think Sleigh Bells are nearly as hot as they were 3 years ago to command $35k.

2014-05-21 01:55:45 PM
Too bad they're images and not searchable.  I skimmed because I wanted to find out how much Dweezil charges.  I'd like him to play my birthday party.

2014-05-21 01:55:52 PM
But how much does it cost to have Dave Matthews play "crash?"

2014-05-21 01:58:12 PM
I wanted to hire Los Lobos, but the agency sent me Los Locos instead.

You can imagine my surprise when they kicked my balls into outer space.

2014-05-21 01:58:54 PM
There are a few bands on that list that are no longer performing.

Be nice to have it alphabetical, and not an image

Agreed, list seems a little dated. Plus most of the bands on my fantasy festival call list aren't listed. Enough to put a good alldayer bill together though...

I haven't been to Celebrate Fairfax! since Marshall Crenshaw was there. It might be time for another visit when Cheap Trick is playing.

Doesn't matter: Your bands all totally suck. I know because I listen to the same ones ALL THE TIME.
/whoops, this isn't the Politics tab...

2014-05-21 02:02:08 PM
No Jackson Taylor & the Sinners?  Hank 3?  Shooter Jennings?  What about Gord Bamford, Matt Mason, Cross Canadian Ragweed?  This list is bigoted against country music.

2014-05-21 02:03:02 PM
Your favorite band not only sucks, but you can't afford to have them play at your party.

2014-05-21 02:03:37 PM
Bummer no Ben Folds, but you can get Cake for a cool 50 large.
Having Cake as my wedding band might be worth it.

2014-05-21 02:04:45 PM
I wonder how much it would cost to have half the Stone Roses show up, play terribly for a few minutes, and then f**k off?

'Cause it cost me $75 back in '95.

2014-05-21 02:07:03 PM
No wonder we were able to get the Black Crowes a few years ago at our local summer thing.

2014-05-21 02:08:18 PM
the GF would hire Micheal Franti and Spearhead. 40k-60k

Bananas in Pajamas?

2014-05-21 02:10:09 PM
Wait, why are Myth Busters on there?

2014-05-21 02:12:38 PM
Well, there goes my plan to have Nickelback play at my Dad's 72nd birthday celebration.

2014-05-21 02:19:41 PM
Do I want Bon Jovi once, or a whole week and a half of Shooter Jennings?

Decisions, decisions.

Also, no Weird Al?

Space Station Wagon: Bummer no Ben Folds, but you can get Cake for a cool 50 large.

Ben Folds is on the list at $40-50K. Don't know if that includes Darren and Robert but you can at least get Ben.

2014-05-21 02:24:21 PM
What ? No Laibach?

Pfft.

2014-05-21 02:25:31 PM
If I win the powerball, I'm hiring Tool. They aren't even on the list.

2014-05-21 02:27:24 PM

show me: Hmmmmmm...King's X or the Verve Pipe...hmmmmm...

Kings X is the most underrated band in the history of, well, history.

If I'd have known they could be retained for less than $10k I would have had them play my wedding.

2014-05-21 02:29:05 PM
I wonder how much Kraftwerk costs.
