Probably funnier than Carlos Mencia, too.

"Company unveils robot comic that possesses more self-awareness than Dane Cook "

if it has even one joke, it's probably funnier, too.

And, to be fair - if you were Dane Cook - would you want to be self-aware?

Way to set the bar high. Dane Cook is so NOT self-aware that he has to be reminded of his name before each time he tells a joke that involves another party addressing him at some hypothetical point in the past.

Before he forgets the punchline completely and opts to segue into another joke. I swear, he steals the joke, strips away the punchline to add in his own so he can claim the joke as his, and then gets distracted by something shiny. Never have I heard so many jokes without punchlines as when I saw his HBO special.

I love it when people come to these threads to complain about a comic not being funny when clearly their monetary success says otherwise.  I don't find J.B. Smoove very funny but clearly he's doing something right.

By this logic, Justin Bieber is a tremendously excellent musician.

Is Dane Cook still a "thing" in the web? I haven't heard his name in ages. Why are we still saying he's not funny?

The robot's comment was actually pretty good--for a robot. It understood the question "How many employees are here"--and replied with an absurdity. When the human responded with confusion, the robot explained that it was a joke and gave the right answer.

That's pretty damned sophisticated. For a robot.

I can easily imagine a person including the swans with the employees as a joke.

That robot has a better understanding of what's funny than the average farker in this thread.

Because he's still not funny.

Neither am I. Let's make me famous by pointing it out for the next several decades. I am not above making money over internet infamy.

Not exactly.  Justin Bieber is not a musician.  He's an entertainer.  A performer if you will.  Like a clown.

A few years ago, when Dane Cook was popular, I bet most of Fark thought he was hilarious. Then it became trendy to hate him. So, they all fell right in line. In a couple of years, when bacon is no longer cool, they'll all swear they were never a fan of bacon.

I still laugh at the CD I have when the bits come around on the shuffle.

If you want a robot comic that is self-aware, fourth wall breaking, and full of laughs and misery, try More Than Meets The Eye.

I love bacon. Always have, always will. But yes, this hard-on for bacon over the last several years has gone past annoying. Any time someone starts yammering about a new bacon/not-bacon hybrid, I tune out. Stop trying to put bacon into everything. You're not making that food better. You're making the bacon worse.
