Not a bad idea, but college is a vacation these days compared to when I went there.  I have a son in college, I want to live with him.  Lol

Naps were how I got through college. Wake up early for morning classes, nap after class, wake up for afternoon classes, late evenings for reading/study/farking around/drinking, repeat.

In college?  That's why god invented cocaine.

The same university that did well enough at football to have the NCAA smite them down - despite the NCAA ignoring the Scandal Evading Conference.

No joke, it's practically true. Adderall is amphetamine. Everyone is on that.

"Nap" is just another way of saying "Watching football".

They could really increase library usage after the bars close if they added privacy curtains between the beds.

What's next? Meditation rooms?

Nothing like napping on a cot that 6,000 other people have napped on.  Erk.

Having a lazy son doesn't really indicate a difference in higher ed.

At least it's better than the students who fall asleep on the tables and hog up space when others want to study. But if you're really that tired, go home and get a full night's sleep.

This would have been handy during the day in between classes, nap room in Angell, Chem building, Ugli and MLB. You would have pit stops for the 4 major lecture halls without the fear of waking up in the middle of someone's lecture 10 mins later.

As an Ohio State fan, I'll say that Michigan was a competitive football school.

Then the US entered World War I

That's not 'next' - that's already here.  Though they like to call them 'reflection rooms' or some such nonsense.

In that case, I'm going back to school.

Well... otherwise known as "a place for Muslim students to do daily prayers in private".  That or a chill out space.  Either way I'm fine with that.

As for the napping... FFS, U of M already has rooms for that, i.e. the tiny study rooms already in Duderstat... Media Union... whatever.  And in the grad library.  Although those are for both napping and sex.

As for the 24/7 staff, that's great.  People are still gonna get sh-t stolen while they sleep, because that staff generally has a surprising amount of work to do at 4 AM and can't babysit.

That said, as someone who just got a prescription for napping at work (Which I informed my boss of but haven't broken out just yet) having a space for that sort of thing would be nice.  But this is a bit stupid (ooh, 6 cots) when students are pretty damn creative already about finding napping locations if need be.

/my adviser gave me a key to a faculty restroom that had a couch and a green light to take advantage whenever
//good times

Also places to have sex or make out, but that kinda went without saying.

/worked the Science Library 10 PM - 5 AM shift many a year ago
//thankfully only came across the sleeping and making out, but that happened quite a bit
