and with Scream and Friday the 13th adaptations on the way

Oh fark my ass, really? Scream? The first three movies were pretty good, IMO. But it was one self contained trilogy. The 4th was pushing it. There isn't anything more to say, really. Friday the 13th I don't give a shiat about, it was always retarded an not scary.

A Shining prequel could be kind of cool though.

Don't Christians ever get tired of the whole anti Christ thing?

We already had an Omen TV movie. It was called Omen IV: The Awakening, it aired on Fox in 1991, and the "twist" was that instead of an evil little boy it was an evil little girl.

I want one where the Antichrist is still a sperm, and he's running around in some guys balls terrorizing all the other little sperm with devil tricks.

B.L.Z. Bub: the "twist" was that instead of an evil little boy it was an evil little girl.

That would make more sense.

Anything would be more foreboding than Sam Neil with a fruity 80s haircut.

The sequels to the Omen weren't all that bad, and come one of Lance Henriksen's and Sam Neill's first big roles were in the Omen series.

roughly half the people i meet say "what are ya, the devil's son?" *hyuk* and act like it's clever

kinda nice actually, in that i get to discount half of all people as ever being worthwhile human beings right off the bat

saves time/effort

FUN FACT: Lifetime apparently has the broadcast rights to Chloe. You know, "Julianne Moore getting fingerbanged by Amanda Seyfried" Chloe.

Obviously, they cut that part right out, but what about the rest of the movie, where - at a few points - the characters describe all sorts of sexual mannerisms? Seriously, how do some networks even muster up the courage to try to edit these kinds of movies down for broadcast? That just seems like a colossal waste of time.

"Here, enjoy our presentation of Showgirls. By the way, everything that you came here to see will not be shown tonight. Or ever, really, as long as we air it."

The drama, called  Damien, will act as a sequel to the 1976 original, apparently ignoring the inferior sequels.

Wha?

I liked the second one.

I'll do you one better.

Google "Julianne Moore Amanda Seyfried lesbian scene".

I'd post links, but some of them are coming up iffy, so I'll leave the decision to you.  Do be warned, this is a NSFW search.

And you're welcome.

Right after NBC's Rosemary's Baby mini-series...

I wonder when Food Network's gonna air their Exorcist reboot?

Pea soup, anyone?

Devil and anti-Christ movies are passe.

They just don't work anymore.

I say that as a huge fan of them. However, society has reached a point where the devil, evil, etc, can't be portrayed on film without great effect any more because it's too "quaint". We've turned the depths of evil into a shallow wading pool where "worse than Hitler" is a generic insult.

My kid is named Damian for the same reason. There is not much difference between the spawn of satan and a 3 yr. old boy.
