Oh, thank God that's not true. I haven't had time to fully contemplate and digest the philosophical stylings of the original "Spring Breakers." My brain is not yet ready to consider the subtext and meaning of what would surely be at the heart of a sequel.

In other news, Bo Derek denies she will be costarring in a modern reboot of The Children's Hour along side Sally Field and an entirely CGI middle aged River Phoenix. The project would have been directed by David Byrne.

I'm thinking all those entertainment reporters drinking $15 cocktails on the paper's expense account have a nightly round of "movie rumor Mad Libs"  and then turn in copy that "a rumor is going around Cannes that..." with a straight face

I just love that the mainstream media have to/get to publish the words "pussy riot" on a nearly daily basis

Every so often, I start rumors at work in the hopes that they will come true... and some of them do. I have to imagine there are journalists who use their influence in the same way... start a rumor about an outcome they would like, and maybe a casting director or agent will read it and say "hey, why not?"

years ago, I started using made-up idiomatic phrases in business meetings just to see who nodded sagely and then who would use them later as their own.   Things like "well I haven;t heard  about something like that since Mable was a Canoe"  Or "well we're in a real Saigonese Dilemma here aren't we?"   or "Sun Tzu always said you should dig your latrines first, then plan your battle"

To be fair, it's a Harmony Korine flick so it does attempt to be profound. It's not just "Disney starlets in an excuse for T&A for 2 hours" but attempts to say something about the behavior and drives of American youths. The idea is that their lawless behavior is an attempt to seek the American Dream by people born into a system they are cynical of.

...granted it does it pretty terribly, but just because Korine has a terrible habit of using "white trash doing shocking things" as a motif as if it's edgy and seems to have a higher opinion of how important his films are than they really are. How else do you explain Trash Humpers?

Didn't James Franco's character die in the first movie?

I would like to take this opportunity to announce that despite any reports you may have heard, I also will not be appearing in the sequel to Spring Beakers.

I will also neither confirm nor deny rumors that I had a particularly mind-blowing threesome with Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens.

It is also true that I will continue to deny having any knowledge of the whereabouts of Jimmy Hoffa.

Nadja. One of the hottest women on the planet, but you don't want to see the film of her getting doggie styled at the museam while she's 9 months pregnant... Or maybe you do NTTAWWT. I just can't fap to that at all.

To clarify, that museum thing was a protest/art installation, not pr0n. Still, she's a beautiful creature.
