Yeah that sounds retarded.  What doesn't sound retarded is buying a decent bottle of each kind of booze and having a little "around the world" trip at home!

For 1.2M, you could just about buy a bottle of ALL the alcohols in the world and still have enough for a gold plated toilet in which to deposit said alcohols. If you have too much money, let's talk. I bet we could come up with better ways to spend it.

What a boring way to spend that amount of cash.

Lame.

Spend 750,000HUF and live like a king for a week.

/Probably more than what you spent on your London, Paris & Rome trip anyway.

$1.2Mil? What about a tour of every craft brewery in the US, and Europe. Including whatever locally produced meat-snack is at hand in each area visited. How's that sound?

I enjoy a nice buzz, but I've never seen the allure of getting throwing-up drunk. I've done it a time or two and never enjoyed it. Maybe it's just me.

Not at all.  I've reached that point accidentally, and have never, ever seen why people would do that.

Of course, I hate to vomit anyway, so there's that too.

No one wants to get that drunk, it just happens. No one knows why. It's like the tides, you can't explain it.

There's no logical explanation. On Saturday after Arsenal won the FA Cup I ended up drinking till we got a football and went to a pitch-black playing field and played soccer till 3am with cheap cider bought from a grocery, and smoking some grass taken from the Emirates pitch rolled in with actual grass. I felt terrible on Sunday, and I've been racking my brain to try and figure out why, but I can't. I had a great night and ended up ill. The universe is a mysterious place.

Sadly, I know one person (not a friend or anything, I just know them) that doesn't consider drinking a "success" unless they get throwing up/pissing themselves drunk.  It's sad.  More curious is that monday-friday, this person is at work, not hungover, does a good job.  I don't judge their drinking, I just think it's sad.  So maybe I am judging.  But I'm not trying to.

I essentially did the same in college (albeit, rarely throwing up/pissing self) and now on occasion in the work world.  For me it's more about letting myself go and not think about anything else and have fun with friends.

For that kinda money they better toss in a chick at each stop and give you a new liver at the end.

Why yes, I'm very concerned with global affairs and the general state of people on this planet in all geographical locations.  And by that, I mean bars and getting drunk.

Can I just buy a six-pack of cheap beer and keep the change, please?

I was just like that when I was in the Army. Beer was a wonderfully cheap way to blot out the world for a couple hours.

Never mind the health issues or the fact that I had less friends every time I sobered up.

/now I drink coffee. it keeps me sane.
