And let's not talk about the incinerator scene in Toy Story 3.

Does Toy Story say why the toys go limp when "Andy's Coming" and do not move on their own even for self preservation (like that one kid blowing them up with firecrackers) when humans are around?  Are they unable to?  Is there some kind of force that punishes them if they do?  I MUST KNOW!!!
