I never understood Charlotte's Web. The spider could write and communicate in English. Why did people come to see the "miraculous" pig because the spider wrote "some pig" in her web?

Remember, according to the feds cannabis is a schedule I controlled substance because it:

has a high potential for abuse.
has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States, and
There is a lack of accepted safety for use of the drug or other substance under medical supervision

So completely absurd.

And everyone went away every night and let Charlotte spin another web.  Wouldn't they have wanted to watch her doing it?

Because the pig is so amazing and awesome that the spider had no choice but to learn to communicate the might and glory in written English.

A fair is a veritable smorgasbord orgasbord orgasbord
After the crowds have ceased
Each night when the lights go out
It can be found on the ground all around
Oh, what a ratly feast!

Melon rinds and bits of hotdogs
Cookie crumbs and rotton cotton candy
Melted ice cream, mustard dripplings
Moldy goodies everywhere

Lots of popcorn, apple cores
Bananna peels and soggy sadwiches
And gobs of gorgeous gook to gobble at the fair

A fair is a veritable smorgasbord orgasbord orgasbord
After the gates are shut
Each night when the lights go out
It can be found on the ground all around
That's where a rat can glut, glut, glut, glut!

/Paul Lynde was awesome as Templton.

YAYYYYYYYYYYY!

My old boss Josh made this.  I got to help a little back in the research and testing phase, before it had a proper name.

I'd love to still be helping the Stanley boys with this, but my student loans mean that MMED won't badge me.  You could have a non-drug-related felony on your record and so long as you have no student loans you're in the clear.  I've never even had a speeding/parking ticket but because I went to school (with the intention of becoming a cop, no less) and the financial shiat hit the fan, I'm locked out of the only job that's ever made me feel like a contributing member of society.

Go fig.

Not that marijuana isn't a mild anticonvulsant and has some vague ad-hoc potential in this area, but is there any sort of real verification that this does anything even remotely like what it claims?

Because I'm not seeing any study references there, just "some people saw a reduction in seizures", which is just a post-hoc fallacy, not actual evidence of miracles or whateverthefark.

// Most if not all medical claims regarding a specific  strain of a drug/plant are outright nonsense

You know, since our dispensary in Fort Collins was shut down everyone has scattered and I've lost any contact info for Josh Stanley, and despite these Charlotte's Web stories i haven't been able to find any contact info on the web.  But I'm thinking maybe I could help them in some back-office non-plant capacity.  Haven't worked since we were shut down over three years ago and Josh has a heart of gold, so you never know.

Do any Farkers know how I would begin to go about tracking him down?  Maybe someone has gone through something similar?

Maybe the CALL7 Investigators Team WITH AN EXPLOSIVE SPECIAL REPORT! can help.

WaitwaitwaitWAIT..........if this is legally classified as hemp because of the low THC, then...it isn't Medical Marijuana.

That means MMED has no jurisdiction, right?

HOLY SWEET MOTHER OF BALLS I THINK I MIGHT BE BACK IN THE GAME.

Charlotte's Web for Kids with ADD

Agricultural authorities from some agricultural state today reported that they found a spider web with writing in it that read "Save our pot! Some pigs like to harsh our mellow, man!" They officially put the incident down to pranksters and ordered the pig sty thoroughly cleaned and sprayed with pesticides to kill insects, other parasites, and spiders. The End

I too, was curious. This took about 2 seconds of googling. British Journal of Pharmacology feels there is...

Powerful anecdotal evidence usually deserves some investigation.

EXCEPT for the patents that the govt. holds

It is CRAZY that 250 families had to uproot, finding new homes and jobs in Colorado, just to kid their children the medicine that they need.

Damn, I was shown that movie in first grade, and I bawled my eyes out. Especially since the relative who got me into reading books, and bought several of them for me, was named Charlotte (it was explained to me much later that she died of cancer). Name it something happier, especially considering the ending!

I'd still bawl my eyes out watching that movie or reading that book (this coming from someone listening to something as sad as Crimson Glory right now).
