And this kind of thing is similar to why fairy tales were made.  She can make up fictional characters alluding to her children and her ex.

Ahh...my ex-wife achieved fame... fortune, not so much.

Her online writings, which mentioned the Book of Revelations, Jeffrey Dahmer, Satan and Adolph Hitler...

Well, at least the author managed to spell Dahmer's and Satan's names right.  Two out of four ain't bad for The Star-Ledger.

...as a condition of her probation

Nothing to see here.

"In the appellate ruling, issued on May 13 by judges John Kennedy and Michael Guadagno, the court disagreed...

But she continued to write about her family, referring to them now as "Camelot" ..."

This article needs more Kennedy coincidences and maybe a pier.

FTA:  The woman, identified in court papers only as H.L.M., was ordered as a condition of her probation to stop posting about her children and ex-husband.

Well, it could have been worse.

At least she didn't say anything about them joining her in death.

I was introduced to a woman who is tall, well built, seemingly intelligent, and thought Fox News was liberal. Dammit, so close, but thanks to Facebook I could see the crazy.

One of the few things social media is good for. Back when Myspace was a thing, i managed to figure out that one seemingly cute, vivacious and interested young thing was a schizophrenic who seemed to keep forgetting to take her meds, and Facebook has helped me not stick my dick in a couple of other potential serious headaches as well.

Her online writings, which mentioned the Book of Revelations, Jeffrey Dahmer, Satan and Adolph Hitler, were called "rambling, irrational, disturbing, bizarre" by a judge.

I wonder how many friends she has on Facebook?

Couldn't find a picture of the lady in question so I'm posting a randomly selected photo of a woman with crazy eyes.

I know of a few semi-public types that have that restriction in their divorce papers, but it is not really common.  I do know the type, though. They usually get cut off my lists when the Armageddon posts start.

Well, hopefully they also take her car away before she wants to take her kids to the beach.  Y'know??

I know, it sounds a bit bizarre.

HindiDiscoMonster: I don't see how this does not violate her first amendment rights. I know we don't have all the details and I am sure the article is missing a bit, but... how can a judge order someone to STFU? Seems to me this is a blatant violation of the first. This of course assumes it is not unprotected hate speech (which is what is missing from the article). Perhaps a Fark lawyer could chime in.

It's a condition of probation, if I understood TFA correctly. That's perfectly legal. Once you get convicted of a felony, a great many of your rights are flushed down the loo for the duration of your sentence, and one or two of them, depending upon the state in which you reside, forever. Also, if meeting the standard for libelous or threatening, it's not covered by the First.

OIC the probation issue... oh well... I also understand if it was hate/threatening that is another issue... as far as libel, they can't stop you from saying it, but you will have to pay for it (civil).

Judges also issue gag orders in some cases, limiting what you're allowed to SAY.

So she kidnapped her children and the judged declared she was not a threat to those around her? Wait wait wait... What?

Yay smashing first amendment rights because think of the kids... good job libs!

yes, but that is for ongoing trials... different animal.

That's why I capitalized. Also happens with divorces - during and after, and with a few specific type contracts.
