The Atlanta Black Crackers? No? I was almost sure it was them.

I wouldn't say she's old-style, but kreusening was named after her face.

Fun fact most whipper snappers don't know, Babe Ruth was a pitcher. He had a lower career ERA than Cy Young

While looking up "1928 chevy" on the youtubes, I spotted a video of Ruth taking a taxi to the stadium, and since he was running late, Harold Lloyd was driving. A fun watch if you are a fan of either. Or for just a glimpse of New York in '28.

Wait, she's a lesbian?

Of course she's a Red Sox fan.  She wouldn't want to attach the Ruth name to a bunch of losers.

/time to duck
//actually surprised she's not a Yankees fan
///still amazed the Red Sox have won so much the last 10 years

I think he had a postseason ERA record that Mariano Rivera broke too.

That was from the film Speedy which happens to be my favorite Lloyd film partly since it is NY based but mostly because it's funny as hell. It's on Hulu Plus under the Criterion Collection if that helps.

As for Ruth, I thought she was a Arizona fan but I guess she was adopted by John Henry as much as the Babe

For what it's worth, Julia is a wonderful person to talk to, and she's got a crass streak she hides really well.  She was traveling to Florida a few years ago and stopped at our museum (her dad spent a lot of time in the offseason playing golf in North Carolina).

As a big Babe Ruth fan, none of this surprises me.

Baseball sucks.

Always has, always will.
