After being deported from Japan in the 1980s, I'm surprised they'd let'em in.

I thought one of the conditions of his being deported was that he was never allowed to return to Japan.

It's easy. They deported Paul McCartney. The guy we're talking about is Sir James Paul McCartney, according to his passport.

Sir Paul kept knocking on the door, Sir Paul kept ringing the bell. Japan did him a favor, and opened the door.... and let him in. Yeah yeah let him back in

You must've loooooved the 50th Anniversary Special then.

\loved how Ringo and every last performer that needed a backing band were good enough to play with Frampton and the guy from Toto, but noooo, Sir Paul can't go that low

I'll be seeing Ringo in a fairly small venue less than a week later. So I'm seeing the last two surviving Beatles within a week of each other. Scoffers gonna scoff (and please, do so to your heart's content.). But I'm stoked!

Saw Paul at Fenway last Summer. Amazing show and the new album is very good. Hope he's ok.

You should. I haven't seen Ringo, but Paul plays damn near three hours with barely a sip of water, was in great voice and his band is fantastic. Oh... And McCartney is still one of the legends on a bass.
