Where is Lando?

Look, I can't get involved. I've got work to do. It's not that I like the Empire; I hate it, but there's nothing I can do about it right now... It's all such a long way from here.

I think everyone would understand if you declined, Mark.

...So, to recap - the only reason Mark Hamill is appearing in VII is a fear of being hunted down and killed by a mob.  No, that shouldn't affect his performance at all.

Be careful what you wish for. This is the only major Star Wars project without any control or insight by Lucas:

He was on Glee last week.

He's elderly, and seems borderline senile. It would not be wise to cast him.

Meh. I don't buy that excuse. Lucas isn't really involved in the next trilogy. So, hopefully, that means no Gungans. Other than that the first 3 weren't too awful and were even mildly entertaining.

2014-05-17 01:58:15 PM
It's good they've got some younger actors on the cast. That way they're not all hobbling around in walkers.

2014-05-17 02:32:15 PM
I enjoyed the prequels somewhat, but I'm really excited for the next 3 and the stand alone movies that will be interpolated among them. I hope the 3 (which I understand are singled around a single character) are Boba Fett, Jabba, and IG88.

Abrams and Kasdan should tread carefully about the prequels.  Yes they are part of this greater nine-story film saga, but we don't need to be inundated.

Acceptable prequel tie ins - Qui Gon Jinn, Force Ghost Obi-Wan (played by Ewan McGregor), Coruscant as a major setting (which is most likely 99% guaranteed), referencing Anakin's turn, Darth Plagueis, Naboo (dialogue only) the Clone Wars as spoken or shown through recordings, Shmi Skywalker, a family recording of Anakin and Padme (no dialogue), Trade Federation (mention only), Order 66

Unacceptable - Jar Jar Binks, scenes on Naboo, Podracing, Ani, Annie, Angels, Iago, Sebulba, Watto, young Boba Fett, battle droids, Trade Federation aliens

Who alive would know who Padme was or her connection to anyone in the story?

Maybe Leia? She says in RotJ that she remembers her in image and feeling. Perhaps she honed her natural force ability to discern a name?

I would add the force is a micro organism to that list also.

Yeah, and I'm sure all the $$$ spoke to him even more.

A little bird told me that he tried to sue an equine outfit for an injury to his daughter that happened a decade ago.

Did it all for the $$$.... Pretty sure he lost though.

Don't let the hobbling fool you.  Yoda always acted all old and shiat but he could move like a rabid frog when he felt like it.  I think it's smart that Lucas gave them a two year notice, so they could get in shape/heal from cosmetic surgery in time to be in the movies.  Harrison Ford has been in front of the camera all along so he's always good to go.

Nope. At the end of III, R2 and 3PO are on Bail's ship together and Bail specifically orders only 3PO's memory wiped. R2 gets to remember everything because he can keep secrets.

Well ... R2 was also blown to bits at the end of IV. So ... there's that.
