I'm going to be honest: I miss having Hud doing color at Angel games.  He's always stoned, he has hilariously bad stories, and he's good at offsetting the rather boring play by play of Steve Physioc

He is entertaining to listen to, while the Royals cant backup decent pitching (for a small market team), with even mediocre hitting. We need something to keep it interesting. They should bring back Frank White, he was nuts, but would tell you when he saw bad baseball.

He's one of the better color guys in baseball.  How he wound up in KC I'll never know.  Embrace his derpish hilarity, Royals fans.

I think it's because his schtick gets a little old after a while.  I wouldn't be surprised to see him wind up elsewhere in another 5 years or so.

Not far fetched.

The moon is a planet the way the Cubs are World Series champions: with enough gradual change, it could get there within the next billion years.

Guess I'll do it.

That's no moon. It's a space station.

He couldn't be reached for comment today because he's in DC marching in Operation American Spring, where he has been nominated to the OAS Mensa delegation.

Hey Rex!  What if the moon were made out of barbeque spare ribs?  Would ya eat it then?

I was super high one time and thought the sun was a harvest moon.

If you want to have some fun, go troll r/kcroyals with some "Really enjoying Hud's work" post. They HATE Hud over there.

Hey, Bob Uecker once thought the Moon was Don Zimmer, so it even happens to the best of them.

He's a master of timing, which is what made him comedically," said Bob Costas, his NBC partner in the '90s. During a tense portion of a division series game between the Yankees and the Texas Rangers, Costas recalled, the director cut to head shots of various players and managers. "I was giving the names: Torre, Oates, Jeter, Gonzalez, Pettitte," he said, "and then they take a wide shot of a perfect full moon. Only then does Ueck speak. 'Don Zimmer,' he says."

fyi the equipment guy who testified about the "giant head" thing said Bonds went from wearing a 7 1/4 to a 7 3/8, which is nothing

Richie Sexson wore 7 3/4. Kevin Mench wore 8.

Rex was busted in 2003 at the Kansas City airport for pot possession and "paraphernalia" because he was a) too stupid or b) too stoned or c) both to try and hide his stash > it was seen on the security personnel's monitor. D'oh!

To this day, a friend and I, both longtime Angels fans, call marijuana Rex.

/CSB!

As an Angels fan, I really miss The Wonderdog. He said the stupidest shiat during broadcasts and was always good for a laugh.

I only know who Rex Hudler is because that one-game playoff in '95 against the Mariners for the AL West title. He was so pissed after Luis Solo's inside the park "grand slam" (he was only credited a double) that he nearly started a fist fight with Mark Langston.
