That's New York for ya.

In between the rampant crime and the "ketchup and cheese-wiz on cardboard" pizza, they find a way to disappoint no matter what the topic is.

Welcome to the dirty mean streets of New York, where gangs of conceptual artists roam the side streets, stealing each other's work and creating meta-conceptual junk art with it.

Not everything about NYC is disappointment.  Y'all just need some cowboys to liven it up a bit

It looks like somebody already started to carve it into a giant menacing skull or a portrait of the occupant. And it's in the vicinity of Martinique, in the Caribbean. These rock island lares are hard to find outside of the volcanic islands of East Asia. What a bijou real estate gem. Martinique is a French-speaking sugar island that was worth so much to the French that they traded Canada for it. Stupid French. Our quelques arpents of neige are now worth ten or twenty trillion dollars--they could have kept that and invaded Martinique for the Winter the way Canadians invade Cuba and the Dominican Republic each year. The French are just not that good at colonialism, although they are good at putting down rebellions in the former colonies.

Sorry. Comic book geek. Had to.

But I suspect the copper thieves lairs don't look that awesome. Also, who da fark leaves 40 lbs of copper sitting out unattended in any city, especially New York? That's like walking around with a flashing non sign that says "rob me." Jesus. Even the French should know better and ask that it be displayed in a museum or something..

For the third straight year, Ohio has the dubious distinction of leading the nation in insurance claims from metal thefts, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau.

Oh look, someone from Boston wants attention.

I didn't realize it was a rivalry until I went to Boston for the first time 6-7 years ago, you people just won't STFU about it. Jeez, I just came to visit.

You know what people in NYC say about Boston? Nothing... They really don't talk about it much at all. Boston is to NYC what Canada is to America... Only the Canadians care enough to trash talk America, and Americans are all like, "Yeah, that's cute, whatever wierdos"

Maybe that's why most of the Canadians I've interacted with have been so rude and pretentious.. Like the couple in Wal-Mart trying to pay with Canadian currency, so the cashier is trying to work out the conversion rate.. I come up with a number that turns out to be within 5 cents of her figure and, quite proud of myself, tell them it.

She nods and says "Yeah, that's not too hard to do with a proper education.. You were about.. I mean ABOOT right! Look hon, an American who can do math!"

I know they're not all that rude but... not a very good first impression for me to have of Canadians.

I agree, Boston is but a few beans when it comes to cities. Ever been to Beijing or Shanghai? They make NYC look like a small city.

Shanghai was very impressive with their mass transit system and highway structure weaving through the city, for a city of 32 million.

I'm honestly surprised more statues and structures aren't stolen, in Gainesville GA few years ago a lady tried to sell a park locomotive for scrap even though it was owned by the city, surprisingly meth was not involved.

For the record, as a Canadian I only talk trash about America because it's a laughable declining superpower who hates its most vulnerable citizens and has so little moral fibre as a nation that it even privitizes prisons. I won't even be visiting, fret not.
