Just how far are they going to push this goddamned Messiah analogy?

Which is which?

... seriously, the biggest issues I and many have is that these "Transformers" are nothing but a mess of nuts, bolts, metal scraps and wires.

How do you stop and/or destroy one of these transformers? Just throw a solid piece of metal into them like a wrench, those millions of parts will get jammed up and it would crack itself apart.

2014-05-16 10:22:13 AM
And once all the robots start fighting because you won't be able to distinguish any of them apart because Bay will have a different angle every 0.5 seconds.  You'll just see a blur of metal before collapsing into an epileptic seizure.

And then there will be 'splosions.

Seriously...these movies suck ass.

This is why it's hard to watch these movies. Your eyes have a hard time following the action as focal points are far too numerous.

At least Pacific Rim had visually distinctive robots along side enemies that didn't look just like the heroes.

I'm supposed to get excited about this, but this looks as lame as Revenge of the Fallen turned out to be, even with Marky Mark. Too many other humans for starters...

yup.. fights are like the effects were done by two people smashing nets filled with the content of the drawers of a car mechanics and of a air conditioning technician.

Plus that they have the ability to rebuild themselves into any other vehicle that they feel like, destroys the concept of their shape... Bumblebee has been how many types of Camaros now? 3? 4?

Opps, I'm not a cool enough car, let me slip into something more comfortable.

I wonder where the car seats go when they transform, and anything non-metal.

Back in my day, reformatting a Transformer meant something (recall all those Decepticons getting new bodies from Unicron, Hot Rod getting steroided up into Rodimus Prime by the Autobot Matrix of Leadership).

I'm no fan of Transformers (except that it gave the Rifftrax crew great material), but the franchise, even going back to the cartoons, never tried to be the next Casablanca or Gone With The Wind.

Pretty much the biggest complaint I have. The kid in me loved the idea of Transformers movies, but even hopped up on a sugar high of Pixy Stix and Slurpees, there is no way he could keep up.

Can the author of TFA get Michael Bays balls any further down his throat?

I still don't understand how you can make movies about giant, fighting robots this goddamn boring.

Transformers is one of the stupidest franchises ever and always has been. Brainless. Idiotic. Pointless, loud, moronic and utterly and completely without any redeeming social value because it's sole purpose is to cynically sell toys to dumb little kids.

But it's giant. Fighting. Robots. What's offensive is you made it BORING, Michael Bay.

How special you are that you can tell one indistinguishable silver blob from another. It's not like they have personalities that are even less distinctive than in G1.

I'm nearly ashamed top admit I almost agree with you. Until you said 3-D. 3-D is a pox on humanity. I'm done - I'll never voluntarily see a film that requires the stupid glasses.

Transformers suck. Never thought I'd say that, but here we are. The original toys were sh*t, the original cartoon was sh*t, and everything that's come after sucks. It's all nostalgia, folks. None of this crap was ever any good. We only liked it because we were all in kindergarten and had never seen a Lambourghini Countach turn into a robot before.

I almost agree with you on that - I mean, I hate the farking glasses, and up until a few years ago I hated the farking headache that came with them until they figured out how to do it better.  Now, though, I'll put up with the glasses a few times a year.

Michael Bay sucks. So do all his Transformer movies.

Spend your money and time on better entertainment. Stop telling Hollywood to make this crap.

I only saw Transformers 3 in the theaters, just for the Chicago stuff. Even then I bought a ticket for another movie and sneaked into T3: just so Michael Bay wouldn't get the credit for my ticket. That's how much I hate his movies.

I love me some big budget giant robots and I'll suffer some shiat movies to see them but every time I see a big bidget 'summer' movie in 3d and without I always end up preferring it 2d.

He is wrong. There were some quality toys and episodes that had heart. Nostalgia isn't just, "Hey I remember that," it's "Hey, I loved that."

Otherwise you just have Gobots and a ton of other crap from the 80's.

I bet this one will receive criticism of its portrayal of the mentally handicapped. You though those other ones were racist caricatures? Waitll you see how the Dinobots represent tards.

Depends, some Gobots were actually much better than some transformers.

Some looked more cartoonish but had more articulation than many early Diaclones..errrr..Microman...errrr I mean Transformers.

My desk btw... try and name all of them (not only Transformers):

Well, that's one, I've been collecting toys since I was a kid.. my desk is only one of my display areas...

I need newer pictures but I have this one online.. dang what am I doing with such a low resolution one.. oh well, better than nothing I guess.:

I'm a big Robotech fan, so a lot of my purchase goes with the plane and space ship types that could have pilots... still waiting for that live movie and hoping that they don't mess it up.

Didn't click the link, but didn't the entire world know by now that he rides a dinosaur and has a sword?  I think every preview since the Superbowl has shown this.
