Diggerland USA is a fantastic idea!

WTF?!? I can't use any of these machines to actually dig anything?!?

I don't think anyone should be digging in New Jersey.

If I ever go completely berserk, I'm going to go berserk with a humongous rotating trencher shovel.

This.  This weekend is pike days and the steam show exhibition.  Coal fired smoke belching operating steam shovels > stupid machinery based amusement park.

Of course, they won't let me play with the steam shovels, those assholes, but at least I get to watch them in anachronistic action.

Funny thing is to stop that monster someone only needs to pull the power plug out of the wall :)

I stumbled across this one and had a laugh. The very same bucket excavator you posted.

That Caterpillar D8 weighs at least 40 tons...like a piece of food stuck in the bucket excavators teeth. I'd hate to see the size of the toothpick.

First of all, why would you say giant Tonka toys instead of just saying what they are...regular construction equipment?  You might as well call them "giant miniatures."
Second of all, wtf is the point when you can't actually play with them, you just sit in them like a ride?  Those playground diggers from when we were kids are far cooler than this.
Third of all, WTF is wrong with that photo gallery?  Half the buttons don't work right.

Me too. That's why I bought it for my son. He's only two but he goes and grabs it off of the shelf and wants to have me read it to him at least once a week. One of his favorites.
